Fortunately for me, I did not spend a lot on this vacuum as I got it second hand. It definitely would not be worth the retail price. It has a lot of attachements and it is bagless which is a nice feature. It has a duster that you can take out of its holder and dust and then vacuum it clean, an upholstery tool, and a tool for crevices. It does not have much suction power at all. It also smells like a dirty smell, not a good smell at all. I am not sure why it has a smell but it does. It vanishes in a few seconds but it is not what you want to smell when you clean your house. I like the bagless feature, just flip the switch, take out the canister and empty it. It is not heavy and maneuvers well and easy to maintain but does not seem to be durable and the suction power stinks. It does have a nice design but if it is not a good vacuum, it does not matter what it looks like. I do not recommend this vacuum to anyone, it just does not perform as well as other vacuums on the market for the same price.

Worthless. Poor engineering. Have had nothing but headaches with this one... I've tried using it on hardwood floor also. It makes this awful noise while the handle is extended about 45 degrees. Have to hold the handle at 90º for the grinding noise to stop. Doesn't have enough suction to pick up a small torn piece of paper, about 1/2" square. Have had to replace the belt after one year. Hose continually clogs. And when it comes to doing the stairs, it's very cumbersome. The hose is confined to the bottom of the vacuum under a bracket, which is really inconvenient. I've had to unscrew the base and remove the hose so it can be extended further. The only good thing I've found with this is the color, and that's pretty sad. I'd rather go back to using a Kenmore, very reliable. As a wise person has once said, "You get what you pay for". Maybe other people have had better luck with this one. I've only had one good experience with it, and that was after I replaced the belt.

This vacuum has a lot of neat features like an onboard duster that can be "sucked" clean, a convertible upholstry/ceiling attachment, cool color and onboard tools. However, if I would have heeded the words of other reviewers, I would not have purchased it. They said it was loud and stinky and they're right. It's exceptionally loud and it smells like it's gonna blow a belt or something. The smell doesn't linger, but it's still annoying. The worst part is that it clogs at the point where the hose meets the body of the vacuum. At least it's a clear junction so I can see the huge clog, but I actually keep a screwdriver handy (jammed into a slot) so I can quickly take off the piece and unclog it. It does have a very easy filter cleaning system and all the info about when to change filters is printed right on the vacuum.

Maneuverability it rolled Ease of Maintenance If you don't mind cleaning it halfway thru the job it disassembled with a phillipshead screwdriver fairly quickly after about the 50th time doing it. Practice makes perfect eh? Suction Performance If you want to spend more time clearing the suction tube than actual cleaning this is the vacuum for you.Everytime we used this the main suction tube would clog...Said on the packaging specifically for pets....wrong the smallest amount of cat hair and here we go clearing and cleaning the whole vacuum...wasted my time and money on this pain the the posterior!!! Versatility does one thing good...clog up! Design read above! Durability It can take disassembly and reassembly pretty well!

After yet another vacuum stalled out on us, we went on the hunt for a quality vacuum that would not cost us a small fortune. We came across the Eureka 8803AVZ Boss Capture Bagless, the last one on the shelf - and on sale! We gave it a shot, and it has worked great for us! With two cats that shed like crazy, this has been the only vacuum that can keep up with them. The bagless feature is great, no constantly buying bags. Also, the filter can be rinsed out and reused - awesome! It also has a great little duster that can reach ceiling fans. Though I find that tool not as useful because it just seems to knock it all down to the floor rather than hold on to it. At least it gets the dust where I can vacuum it up.

I know this sounds silly, but what initially attracted me to this vacuum cleaner is that is bright green in color. That is my favorite color!! But also, it is a Eureka. We have had the vacuum for about three years now. I wish I would have spent more money on a different vacuum. It is a very high maintaince vacuum. We are constantly having to switch out the HEPA filters, and the other filters. I loved it at first, but it seems to have worn down fast. If everything is perfectly cleaned, and the filters are fresh, then it really is a lovely vacuum. It does a great job, but it is such a chore just to vacuum up a small area. I do love how the vacuum has the Telescopic Self Cleaning Duster. This is used daily in my house!! The handle extends so you can reach the ceiling fan, air vents, top of entertainment centers, pretty much anything! I would NOT reccommend it, if you can afford to spend more, buy a different model. This one just wears out to fast. And it's too much maintanance.

My husband and I purchased The Boss last year and given that we only have carpet in our bedrooms, we have used it a handful of times. However, every time we have used this vacuum, we've found that it makes quick work of making the bedrooms in our house clean, even though we have an orange cat that sheds a cat's worth of fur every few days, it seems. It is perfectly satisfactory at picking up dust, pet hair, human hair, and other household detritus off the floor. You will still have to pick up large items, but this vacuum handles small stuff with ease. However, picking up stuff out of carpets is not this vacuum's only function. The list below contains some other functions and features that I like: Duster: you can electromagnetically charge the duster to make dust particles stick better. Once you're done dusting, you repeat the process to suck the dust away. Very useful if you're already vacuuming, but if I'm not I use a Swiffer duster. Pet hair remover: Sucks pet hair off upholstery. The attachment was easy to connect/remove and does work well, but I save it for the few times I am actually vacuuming. The rest of the time I use a Pledge Fabric Sweeper. Other tools attachments: When you remove the hose, the sucking power does seem a bit weak. That's the only negative comment I have. That said, I find the hose attachments for cleaning edges and corners work just fine. They suck up clumps of lethal orange cat fur with ease, so I can't complain too much. Cord length: I find the cord to be plenty long, but not so long that it's always in the way. Tangle/Detangle factor: While things get tangled in the rotor brush fairly easily, I never have to struggle to get them out, which is a big plus. Seeing as I am a lazy housecleaner, I like that part. Bagless dirt container: Holds much orange cat fur and dust with ease. Easy to change. Overall, for the money I'm pretty satisfied. I think you'd be hard pressed to find something that would do better for light use for this kind of money.

We have three cats and a child, so our floors get dirty quick! This vacuum cleaner always gets the job done. The parts are easy to clean and to replace. The only thing I do not like about the vacuum cleaner is the power paw attachment. It does not get the cat hair off of our upholstery. We have had no problems with this vacuum cleaner. It is worth the money for sure!
