Pretty Good

4

For the price, these tooth brushes are pretty good. They are not nearly as expensive as name brand tooth brushes, but they seem to clean my teeth and mouth just as well as any other brand. The value packs that contain several brushes is also a better deal than buying individual tooth brushes. One complaint about these tooth brushes is that the bristles do not hold their shape for very long. If one brushes somewhat hard in order to get his teeth clean, the bristles will quickly splay out to the sides instead of holding their shape. As a result, they don't do a very good job of getting into the spaces between teeth and down near the gums. They are cheaper than the on brand, but because of this fault, they need to be replaced more often. One other complaint is that they seem to be harder to rinse out and get completely clean. They seem to hold gunk in them, which is somewhat disgusting.

Gets in those tight spots, and leaves me dazzled!

I'll admit, I was dubious over a "cheap" toothbrush. But....I found it actually had a shape that worked better for my mouth anyway, better than some of the more expensive brands. It is narrow at the end--more than most, so I can get waaaaay in the back for those elusive teeth. It's comfortable to hold, and I like the colors--and, best of all, the price!

Worthless

I was broke one week but really needed a new toothbrush so I purchased the generic Equate Soft Toothbrush and it was a mistake. The very first time I used it, I knew I would need to replace it. The bristles were too soft and after brushing I could still feel dirty grit on my teeth and my mouth did not taste fresh. The bristles just seemed to bend all together and brush the tops of my teeth, I could not feel them making any kind of contact with the gums. The handle felt very weak like it could break on me if I applied any more pressure to it. The design of the toothbrush did not work well with the way that my teeth are aligned. The brush was completely straight and did not allow me any kind of flexibility like other brands. I would not recommend this product to anyone. It is very cheap at the store, but also very cheaply made. I was too embarrassed to even tell my dentist that I purchased it. I am not comfortable that this product is able to remove plaque or built up food like my teeth need. I will not be buying this product ever again.

Normally a Fan of Off-brand

4

I'm usually a big fan of off-brand product, including Equate, but this one left me disappointed. My dentist strongly recommended using toothbrushes with soft bristles, as those with firmer bristles can actually damage your enamel. I always shop for soft-bristled brushes and was excited to see and Equate brand in soft bristles. From my experience, many off-brand toothbrushes have extremely coarse and rigid bristles. I don't have the best teeth in the world and am prone to develop tatar rather quickly, so dental hygiene is really important to me. Sadly, the Equate bristles felt too rigid for me and even hurt my gums a bit. I do hope that Equate brand will fix this because I love the price of the toothbrush as compared to other name-brand brushes. Again, Equate is a brand that I trust and truly do hope that they will develop a higher quality brush. I don't care what the brush looks like, just that it does the job and is gentle on my teeth and gums.

Cheaper than the rest.

What can you really say about a toothbrush other than it is cheaper than most other toothbrushes and that the bristles are soft. The Equate Soft Toothbrush is just that cheaper with soft bristles. I think they also mave medium bristles but I always get the soft because my wife likes soft and I just get the same because that really does not make a difference. The Equate brand toothbrushes last as long as any other toothbrushes. No angled head or extra stuff like a tongue scraper but all that extra crap is just an excuse to charge you more for a toothbrush that really wont get your teeth any cleaner. Not that anyone will believe me but go ahead and waste your money on a toothbrush but I rather get me an equate toothbrush that is a lot cheaper and use the difference on something I would enjoy more like a nice hot sauce. Come on you can never have enough hot sauce, right? I having been using equate toothbrushes for years and I have not had any cavities in that time so it works good enough for me.
