After using this product for 5 days in a row I did notice a slight change in the color of my legs. The change is so subtle though that I barely notice any difference and expected a bit more color. It moisturized well but didn't add much color at all.

It has a fruity/floral scent that I’m not wild about. I don’t hate it but I prefer fruity or foody scents and am not a floral girl at all so I’m not drawn to the scent of this product whatsoever. It's just too heavy on the flowers for my taste.

In my quest to find the ultimate self-tanner I’ve been using some of the new lotions that have a touch of self-tanner in them. One of the products I tried is Dove's Energy Glow Daily Moisturizer with Subtle Self Tanner in the Medium color. Based on the lack of color and that I do not like the scent, I will not be purchasing Dove Energy Glow Daily Moisturizer again and will stick to the one I do like - Vaseline Healthy Body Glow.

I am a Dove user, and am most of time happy with thier products. I bought a bottle of Dove Energy Glow Moisturizer, thinking that I could give my skin that healthy summer glow, in the winter. I used it as it directed, and noticed later that afternoon, my skin looked different, not darker, but more like orange. I thought well, the bottle said it gradually enhances, and evens out to give you a beautiful summer glow. So maybe  I just need to give it more time. I applied the lotion again, and that night my hands were orange, even though I washed them after I put on the lotion. My skin also was still a more orange than tan. I love this lotion. It is fast and gives me a great glowing bronze look. I used this before going to a party and I was asked where I went to "get my tan". I couldn't lie and had to spill the beans about Dove. Nonetheless, the application is easy and the tan happens pretty much overnight. Although, I don't recommend this for fair people (like my sister) because it can turn quite orange fast or if not properly done. It also is the best smelling tanner EVER! which is great because other sunless tanner smells, expensive or cheap, can drive me up the wall during the day at work.Wash your hands quickly after applying and avoid your armpits and knees (learned my lesson there :) and enjoy the extra benefit of moisture.Replace your regular moisturizer with this for a great bronzed look this summer.

Allergic reaction on prom night---not good!

Boy do I ever have a story to tell with this stuff. I bought this for the first time back in April for my daughter's prom. Her dress was strapless and she had gotten a sunburn on her arm's a few weeks before so she still had a slight differance in color but not much at all. So anyway, 3 hours before prom was to start I helped rub the lotion on her arms and shoulders before putting her dress on so she would be all sparkly and soft right? WRONG! Really Does Make My Face Glow

For those who don't mind being 'mature', this product is a great find.  I am 45 years old and while this was the first time I bought a product 'for maturing skin' I am very pleased that Dove has taken the lead in creating products for women of all ages and sizes.  I bought this tube of Energy Glow Skin Brightening Facial Cleanser in December 2006 while visiting family stateside for the holidays.  I still have some left in this tube, rationing it out to myself over this past year.  It is gentle and does give you a rosy glow without tightness, and I use no more than a dime's size for each cleansing.  Thankfully a friend of mine is going to the U.S. next week and she has asked me if I want her to bring anything back for me...well, this is what I want from back home.

After trying so many **self tanning lotions, I am finally happy with one! **Dove Energy Glow gives you a natural looking tan, with no streaking, or orange, fake color. It really looks like I've been outdoors in the sun. I highly recommend this product. You** must** try it for yourself!Why damage your skin by tanning when you have this!?

Even though I live in sunny South Florida, I am naturally fair-skinned and have had no success tanning. Always burn! I never really tried self-tanners because I could never find a shade that looked natural on my skin and didn't make it obvious to everyone who knows me that I just applied a self-tanner. I first received a sample of Dove Energy Glow in the mail and, feeling adventureous, I thought I'd give it a shot. I applied it to my legs only and figured, even if it didn't look great, at least I was moisturizing and I could wear jeans for a few days until it gradually fadded away. I have to say, I loved it! The color did come in gradually and looked very natural. I use it now semi-regularly (with sunblock) and now I don't look like a midwestern tourist anymore!!

Since my skin is pretty pastey, I chose the shade meant for those with fair skin. Since self-tanners haven't worked very well on me in the past, I was pretty cautious with this stuff, and started out by putting it on after I'd covered myself in my usual daily lotion. Doing this seemed to build a very, very, very slight change in color, so I decided to try it without the lotion, the way it was meant to be used. Unfortunately, my sking couldn't handle it, and I had some orange streaks by the next day. Dove Energy Glow Daily Moisturizer and Self Tanning Lotion is the best self tanner I have found yet, and I've tried at least a dozen.  Most spell horriffic or make you blotchy.  Dove's self tanner is a nice scent, not to strong and works wonders.  I love to stay tan year round and Dove has helped me achive that.  Just rub it in and go, no blotches, streaks or bad smells to deal with.  Perfect color, no oranges.  Within an hour or two your skin is the perfect shade of brown, with a nice glow.  I highly recommed it.  Almost forgot the price, it's average price, not to much like some others out there.

I didn't think I would ever need a lotion that would help give me a more tanned look. I used to live in Italy and then in Australia so I would always get enough sun. Ever since moving to the Pacific Northwest where not only is the sun scarce but it rains aplenty, I started to notice I was looking paler and paler as each summer went by! That is when I entered the world of tanning products and came across this lotion that I thought could do the trick. I am not super pale in complexion to begin with, but I did just need something that would add a bit of a glow, especially for summertime. This seemed to fit the bill just right - it was priced decently, came from a well trusted national brand, and was in a decent sized bottle too! Unfortunately maybe you need double or triple the size of that bottle to even notice a difference because this did nothing to make me a skin tone darker! It did moisturize well though!

I'm really really pale, and over the summer, I wanted a tan. I don't tan naturally, I just BURN. So, I thought my best option would be a self tanning lotion. I've tried what seems like thousands of different kinds, and this is my number one choice.

No self tanner is going to work that well if you don't give it time, and avoid shaving/exfoliating after the tanning lotion regimen has started. This lotion didn't get streaky on me until I stopped using it, and then it was a slow 2 weeks of less than beautiful legs.

However, I'd still recommend this to anyone who wants a tan via lotion. It's the closest you'll get without UV exposure.

Remember to give it 20 minutes to dry before getting dressed/going to bed!

I was very skeptical going into trying this product after so many others had either left me orange in color or streaky. I was scared but I gave it a shot and was very please that after a week of use I did have a wonderful glow with no orange look or streaks. So if you do not have the time or the money to go tan then this is for you.

I tried this product before a wedding I was going to be attending out of state, since it was going to be a spring wedding I wanted to figure out a way to get some color before showing up at my cousins wedding looking like a ghost after not getting any sunlight action all winter long. My first choice would have been to try out hitting the tanning beds but unfortunately it was not looking like I was going to be able to afford that at that time. This is when a friend reccomended Dove's Self Tannng Lotion that was supposto build a healthy looking glow. I was eager to start using it to see how it would work. It was okay, I would say I was not too too dissapointed with it but I also did not completely love it either. I feel like it gave a decent glow, but it looked faker than a tanning bed would have. It also didnt really do a great job as a moistorizer, I felt like it actually left my skin dryer than before at times.

Severe Allergic Reaction!

I have never had an allergic reaction to anything before and I also use Dove's shea butter lotion with no problems but this particular product caused a severe reaction! I put it on at night before bed and woke up at 4:30 in the morning and my throat was swollen and felt like I had needles in my throat, and itchy eyes, and extremely congested. I took 2 benedryl and went back to bed but woke in the morning and my throat is still swollen. I called the nurse and she says I have to come in and get a steroid to offset my allergic reaction. I would not recommend this product to anyone. It smells great but I think its the frangrance that caused my reaction as I have used loreal and Nivea self-tanners before with no problem.

I can't get enough of my Dove energy glow beauty body lotion. The self tanners are amazing. They don't leave your skin looking fake and orange like some self tanners that I've tried in the past. With the dove energy glow beauty body lotion it's more like a soft glow of color that developes over time gradually. I like that aspect of it. It's nice to not wake up the next moringing and be brown and orange all over. I really do like the smell.It's a lot better than most self tanners. Its a bit more fresh and I can stand it a lot more than the others. It also helps make my skin feel super smooth. The moisture in this stuff is amazing. I adore how soft my legs can get with just a few applications. I thinks its a great value at the price as well. The bottle is large and the price is quite small in comparison to the other more expensive brands. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a subtle glow of color in their world and on their skin!
