Computers and crumbs

4

I have to admit, although slightly expensive for it's small size, it was an amazing buy. I initially purchased it with thoughts of my car in mind but boy was I surprised by all the ways to use it. It is excellent for table or desk crumbs. It also works for the cat litter sprinkles around the litter box. It works for small crevices in the car like that hard to reach area in between the seats. It has sucked up a coin or two but thankfully, it didn't get stuck and it didn't break. The suction power is really good - better than I had expected it to be in fact. I have also used the Dirt Devil Kone to clean my laptop computer. It has to be held about 6 inches away but it works great and is so convenient to use. You can use it just about anywhere and it is a great follow up for smaller messes and hard to reach areas as well as counter tops and even your laptop. It's also great for a quick way to clean up after doing crafts.

Dirty Devil

We bought Dirt Devil Kone Handheld Vacuum, as a secondary unit for our sons to use in spot cleaning incidents. The little unit looks really nice sitting there but beyond that is a whole other story. At first glance you would think this is a great design but somehow it just falls short. If the unit perform even half as good as it looks like it should it would be great but, It has very little pick up power. I wouldn't recommend this unit for any reason. Maneuverability Easy to use fits almost anywhere, reaches places others can't. Ease of Maintenance It's an easily cleaned and emptied unit, since it doesn't pick up much you should have to empty it very often Suction Performance The suction on this unit is pointless, I would say its "Justsucks" but that would be a pun Versatility Not very versatile even with the great design, if the unit actually worked it would be much better Design Awesome design as far as looks and storage. The design of function is very disappointing for a Dirt devil product, I expected so very much more. Durability I can't speak of the durability of this product as I have only used it a few times before dropping off in storage.

Looks cute, works okay.

This is a perfectly fine hand-held vacuum for very small jobs, like if you want to vacuum your car but you're a pretty clean person anyway. If you need something for medium to larger jobs, this probably isn't the best product for you. The suction isn't good enough for bigger jobs, and the battery doesn't last long enough. But for occasionally vacuuming the toe-kicks under kitchen cabinets or around baseboards in the a bathroom, this works great. Maneuverability This vacuum is very maneuverable and small enough to fit into tight spaces. Ease of Maintenance No maintenance problems so far. It's easy to clean. Suction Performance The suction is fine for small jobs. It wouldn't be good for big jobs or big messes. It just doesn't have enough power. Versatility This is the most versatile vacuum you can get. It's a little low on power, so light household cleaning and possibly light car cleaning is about the best you'll get. Design The Kone does look nice with a sleek design. Durability I haven't had this product for a long time or used it hard, so I haven't had any durability issues whatsoever.

Bad product.

The Dirt Devil Kone Handheld Vacuum looks good but it's performance is pretty bad. My mom bought me the Kone because she knows I like out of the ordinary household items. The vacuum looks cool ad modern. You can have it sitting around and it looks like a decoration, it's not like some big bulky vacuum that looks awful. The appearance of this vacuum is the only good thing about it. It's performance is just bad. The vacuum charges on the dock and anytime you have it sitting there it is charging so it's always ready to go. However, the charge does not last long at all. Literally 5 minutes and it loses it's sucking power then just stops. One problem with the Kone is trying to hold it. Because of it's design it's very difficult to hold, especially when it's on and vibrating. I would drop mine constantly. The vacuum has very little sucking power. It constantly misses items and you have to go over and over the area. The vacuum gets full really quickly so you have to constantly empty it out. Do not buy this vacuum. They just made a cool looking poor quality product.

Not worth the price

I received the Dirt Devil Kone Handheld Vacuum as a Christmas gift and I find myself wondering why this device was produced. The first time I used this device was to clean up some cookies crumbs. The vacuum sucked up the crumbs very effortlessly. This device has a pretty strong suction and it holds a charge better than most rechargeable vacuums. One of many things I noticed about this device is that it is quite loud considering its size. I found myself having trouble hearing certain frequencies when this device was powered on. This device does a good job of cleaning small areas, which is okay, but I find myself needing something bigger. I filled the canister up very quickly. I had to empty the device every day because it would be full. When it gets full it stops sucking. In the end this is a nice little gadget, but the price doesn't justify the amount of debris it collects. I definitely wouldn't recommend the Dirt Devil Kone Handheld Vacuum.

Very Pretty but Useless

When I saw an ad for the Dirt Devil Kone I knew I had to buy one. The cuteness factor was just too much. So I picked one up the very next time I was out shopping. I loved the shape and design of it. It looked so pretty right out of the box and did not look out of place in my living room or office. I was not pleased by its actual performance though. While it was easy to hold and use it had very poor suction. Very poor as in it was tough for it to even pick up a few pieces of crushed popcorn, let alone a sole Cheerio! This poor suction ultimately led me to sadly return the pretty vacuum to its box and bring it back to the store. I was really quite disappointed that things did not work out. I also need to mention that the battery charge does not last long at all. Older models could do an entire car carpet or an entire sofa on one charge. This model has a very short full charge life, as in a matter of about five minutes, which is probably what affects the suction. So, while this is a gorgeous vacuum it is pretty much useless and I really cannot recommend it.

Great starter vacuum.

I was gifted my Dirt Devil Kone Handheld Vacuum the Christmas before I graduated high school. I think the hope was that the cute pink vacuum may inspire me. And it totally worked. The vacuum is cute enough that it was left out and I kept it plugged in all the time, right next to the TV. It was always charged and ready to go when I needed it. The vacuum was sort of difficult to maneuver, it was long and heavy so you couldn't always get it into hard to reach places. After some trial and error I found the best thing to do with it was sweep up to get the dust, then use the vacuum to ensure that I cleaned up the entire mess, as well as to get the remaining dust of the broom. The area that held the dirt was super small. I had to empty it every time I used the vacuum, and if I forgot it would quit working to remind me. It was a great place to start, and I loved it while it lasted, but alas it was a child's vacuum and I have moved on to bigger, better stronger things.

Great Handheld Vac!

5

My husband and I received the Dirt Devil Kone Handheld Vacuum, in pink, as a wedding shower gift, close to six years ago. I must say, this thing has had a great deal of use over the past several years and it is still going strong. Now, keep in mind, it is a hand held vac, so it probably isn't going to suck up things that a regular upright vacuum cleaner would, but for quick easy cleaning - this thing gets the job done. I love it for cleaning up dust and crumbs that always manage to collect in hard to reach corners, and it is very convenient to use, rather than lugging out the big, heavy, full-sized vac. It is nice for cleaning up messes in the car, kids' car seats, I have even cleaned up messes inside my purse/diaper bag using this before. It is very light weight, easy to use and has held up very well over the years. I definitely would purchase this again. Maneuverability It's handheld, light weight and fits into small spaces. Design It's adorable! Durability It has lasted me nearly six years and is still going strong. That's a lot more than I can say for some other vacuum cleaners and appliances. Very happy with this.

Somewhat Disappointing

3

The Dirt Devil Kone does a good job when it is fully charged, but the power only lasts for a few minutes. Then it slowly starts to wind down until I have to re-charge it again. I often find that there is not enough power to last while I go over the kitchen floor. It's also bulky and heavy to hold and the filter is a hassle to clean. I have used another brand of hand held vacuum in the past and find that I liked it much better than the Kone although it did lose suction power quickly as well. I get a laugh that Kone advertises that this vacuum is attractive enough to charge/display out in the open. Really?? No.

The Kone a vacuum that is stylish

**I have been wanting a Kone since they first came out, but to me it is gimmicky so I couldn't see myself spending money on it since I have a perfectly good vacuum, so I asked for it for Christmas.; My mother-in-law bought it for me and she had a very hard time trying to find it She finally had to order it on-line. I love it though.; It is so cute and now I can vacuum the stairs. It picks up OK, but it is just cute, vacuum.  It takes no time to charge.  You just use it and then put it back into the base.  It comes in a variety of colors, but again the variety of colors are hard to find.  It goes well with my decor in my house, it blends in very well.  It is a little hard to keep a grip on it while you are vacuuming, so it may take a little bit to get used to.  I am not completely sure if I would have ever bought one for myself, but I am glad that I have it as I have said before one of the best things about it is the way that is looks.**
