GI Bill Recipients MUST READ!!

Overall
Rated 1 out of 5

The way the class schedule looks on paper makes it it look like my husband isn't full time when he is. There is always some error delaying my husband's VA paperwork. However, this is the worst, because it affects the living allowance we are supposed to receive. The president in Colorado Springs has been notified of the situation, but NO action has been taken. Simply stated- this affects many students living allowance and NO ONE care!

In addition, the Pueblo campus is a horrible to get an education. The teachers are not only rude and unprofessional, they teach incorrect information and administer error filled tests. They spend class time going over the school's 'bullying policy' but proceed ...

CTU was a great experience!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I graduated in the summer of 2006 with a bachelors degree in Business Administration. Attending CTU was a dream for me. With two young children I thought I'd never get back to school to finish my degree. I found the way that Colorado Technical conducts their online classes ideal for my situation. Not only do they have access to a vitrual library, but classes can be taught through a variety of media. Each class has powerpoint presentations, teachers schedule live interactive classroom time, and you have to complete group projects with a variety of people in different time zones, much the way you would in the standard every day business world. This allows people to work much of the time at their own pace. You wouldn't think so, but it really prevents other students from just coasting by because you can have constant contact with your professors and make sure that they are on top of it. I graduated summa cum laude and worked really hard to earn it. It is so worth it!!!

An experience I will never forget

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

It had been years since I had graduated with my associates degree, and I was wanting to go back to school for my bachelors but I didn't want to sit in a classroom for hours at a time nor did I have the time to do that.  So after researching a few different on-line colleges I decided that Colorado Tech with the best one for me.  I graduated last February and almost a year later I still feel it was the best decision I could of made.  The staff there were all very helpful and they made it very easy for me to enroll and get the financial aid I needed.  Since I've graduated my student adviser has called me twice to see if I was still on the right track to my future goals.  Although I never met any of the staff at the school I feel as if they all cared about my future.

Where were you all my life?

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

Colorado Technical University was a choice that I made after four children and 28 years of night school.  I need to get a degree in order to go forward in my life.  I did not live anywhere near a university, so I began to research on-line for a school.

What brought me to Colorado Technical University was the diversity of the students and the teachers.  I was able to meet and work with soldiers doing duty in Irag, students from all  over Europe and students from across the United States.

Class were archived in case you had work or other obligations.  It also gave you a chance to listen to the teachers chat numerous times if you need more time to understand the...

The best decision I ever made!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I used to go to Phoenix University Online and hated it. I switched to CTUO and I am extremely impressed with how organized their website is, how much less you have to log onto the website to get your work done and get the grades. I have had quite a bit of contact with the counseling staff which is something that I did not get with Phoenix and is part of the reason I left them. I have already recommended CTU to friends who have talked about going back to school and told them to just check it out and make their own decisions and if they wanted more information I could get them in touch with someone or I can answer their questions. The fast paced class schedule with 2 classes every 6 week...

Be Ready

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I'm on my third degree, one at a brick and mortar, one at Phoenix, and now this one. This school makes you think, AND makes you work. Don't enter it if you think you'll just cruise through and recieve a piece of paper that says you'll have a degree. You'll earn it here, AND be proud of it. There's a lot of dropouts in classes who are hit with the realization that they'll have to do in depth work for many hours a week, and many of those are the same ones who post negative reviews. I've worked with them in group projects and communicated with them in emails, and recognize a lot of what they said then, on boards such as these. "It's too hard," or "I thought this would be easy," and even the "can you do this for me..." Some are negative about this school because they thought that if they just paid enough money they would be entitled to a degree. Not true, so if you enroll, be ready to learn and do some work.

School great for the busy professional

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

CTU online is a great way  to get your college degree.  I completed my Associates and will complete my Bachelors in 4 months.  I plan to stay with CTU online for my Masters.  The best part is the instructors, who are hard working professionals in their fields.  This brings the true life experience to the classroom and they are willing to work with you and help you understand the material and assignments.  Also they understand that, life happens, and sometimes you need an extension on school work.  In big colleges, professors forget about real life, and this does not happen.  Some reviews on here are students who want everything in life handed to them.  You do have to work for your degree, I devote 8-10 hours weekly to complete assignments.  CTU online is a great school for anyone working and wanting to get an advanced college degree.

A+ instructors, poor faculty design!!!

Overall
Rated 2 out of 5

Hi all. First, I will say that I am a perfectionist who was immediatley hesitant with online schooling. I compared several, concentrating on Colorado & Phoenix. Colorado was my choice as the rep was more friendly & the price was way cheaper. The information & education I recieved was superb & I am a 4.0 student. The tak list as designed by faculty is the way minus!---- 95% of instructors are intelligent & can ensure you learn well. If they could get their design/preparation team on point they would be fantastic! I did have a few instructors that were very (lets say sub-par) & the task list people sometimes forgot how to spell or utilize proper grammar. The key is to use your own brain & pray you get one of the awesome instructors. iF YOU NEED A LOT OF ONE ON ONE, THIS IS NOT FOR YOU. If you have a decent brain & need a degree & quality eduvcation you can afford-well this is for you.

Beware, the education swindlers.

Overall
Rated 1 out of 5

I had a problem with CTU. Not only were the prices outrageous, but the staff was pushy and uncooperative. I was pushed into the application process; although, I told the woman I did not want to enroll until the following semester.

I ended up half-way through the app. process.,(By the way they charged my credit card twice for the application fee. And have not refunded that), when I had a problem with my internet not working. I was then unable to attend the one class I was had signed up for. Since I was having problems with it I tried to withdraw from that class. That was absolutely impossible. I have been charged $1000 for a class I was enrolled in for three weeks. I was only a...

This school will help you meet people in your discipline

Overall

I am nearly complete with graduate studies. CTU has excellent standards, why? I failed my share of courses, submitted to the Appeals Board, and ableto return. I am in the same circumstance, but am confident they will accept my appeal; I will be able to complete this degree!

I may return for more

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

When looking to go back to school after 2 years of graduating from a community college, it was a challenge. I was now married with 2 children and a full-time job. So, I turned my efforts to on-line schooling. After doing a good bit of research, I found that CTU On-line was the best choice for me. Not only could I participate with other students from all around the world, but I could do it on my own time. I think that having to do group projects via computer is a great way to prepare for jobs nowadays because lots of companies do not approve travel anymore, but are opting for on-line chatting and communications. The extensive research that needs to be done for classes at this univer...

Colorado Technical University On-Line helped me fulfull my dream

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I worked in the Accounting field for 26 years, but never had a degree. In my 50s and looking to move on to a better job, I decided to go back to school and finally get my degree. I researched many colleges, on-line and brick and mortar. I decided that CTU was the school for me. It took just a little over two years for me to get my Associates in Accounting and my BS in Accounting. I graduated this past March, Summa Cum Laud.

CTU on-line virtual campus is great. It is easy to navigate and contains all the information and tools you will need to be successful in your studies. I love the live chats, where you and your class mates get to actually chat with the instructor. These chats are not just...

CTU is a Great School for People who cant sit in a classroom

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I have just graduated from CTU with an A.S. in Business Administration. It was a real challenge to stay up to date with my hectic work life and family life. It is the perfect school for me because I simply do not have the time to go to a campus and sit in class for hours and hours. CTU's set up is great and easy to use. I have a friend going to Kaplan and they are charging her just as much as what I am paying, but she doesnt get a copy of MS Office 08 sent to her to help her with her studies. CTU does and they will even send you another disc if something happens to the 1st one. Like when my hard drive fried a while back and we had just moved so I had no idea where the disc was. I called&nbsp...

Definitely worth it!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I have experienced University of Phoenix and other online classes, but nothing beats the way CTU provides a student. I am entering my second quarter and couldn't be happier. My husband is in the military and this is one of the top schools the military recommends. My husband knows many people who have degrees from CTU. The college is accredited and worth the challenge. I love this school and refer it to everyone I know!
