I started in the summer 2006 and did not finish. I was out by the winter of 2006. I really want to go back and finish. They were very understanding. They are willing to work with you. I just needed to be fully financed to attend. trying to keep up with my work and worried if i was going to make my monthly... review »

I began in 2006 taking classes for Business Management at Colorado Technical  University. But Mid 2007.  Financial Aid ran out and they wanted the rest of the tutuion paid in full before they would ship me anymore books.  Needless to say I could not pay in full.   I was four classes away from...

I have attended both CTU and University of Phoenix. I enjoyed my time with CTU because the instructors and the staff were very supportive and helpful. Additionally, the online chats were very informative and helped to add flavor to the course - as well as additional information. The courses were less expensive; however, the interaction between students was much less and didn't encourage learning from each other as much as the courses with UoPhx.

Overall, CTU is a wonderful online college.

I have been attending CTU for almost a year now. I will graduate with my BS in Heathcare Management this September. Yes, I do have to agree that the classes can be a bit much. But it is all worth it in the long run. I could never sit in front of some teacher for 2 hours a week for 20 weeks. I would go nuts. I am a full time student, a stay at home mom of 2 special needs boys, 7 months pregnant, married, and I work full time out of my home. If I can make college work. So can you!

While I was initially quite happy with the first nine months that I attended CTU, I ran into difficulty with the financial aid office which prevented me from continuing and, as a result, I now have over $15,000 in student debt without the benefit of finishing my degree.  Also, if you do not like to write papers, this is not the type of education for you.  Grades are based almost entirely on written posts, essays, papers and presentations - no quizzes or tests.

I attended this school to finish my Associates degree in Accounting.  I enjoyed the intensity of the program.  There are new classes every six weeks approximately.  I was taking two every section.  The teachers are very knowledgable about the subjects that they teach.  The administrative staff will walk you through any problem that you have.  The books are included in your tuition and sent to you from the school before class starts.  Financial aid is worked on before you start classes.  Basically, everything is done for you you before you start the classes.

Colorado Technical University is a great school and they were so helpful through it all.  I enjoyed the instructors and they helped me get through the hard classses I needed.  It has been 2 yrs. since I graduated and they still continue to help me.  I never felt pressured by anyone at the school.  It was a lot of work but you should expect to do hard work for your degree.  At the time I was a single mom and working full-time but the school always gave me encouragement.  I have and will continue to recommend this school to people.

CTU has been awesome for me because it is cost effective.  It helped me through the financial aid process completely.  It is a school greatly geared towards people who are writers, rather than test takers.  Most assignments are written assignments.  Any courses that have tests are all open book, multiple choice and you have 90 minutes to answer 20 questions.  I have only had a few uncooperative professors, but for the most part I am less than a year away from my degree and the time has just flown by.
