I am a supporter of breast feeding. But I am aware that not every woman can successfully accomplish this. I had troubles breastfeeding and I had to find a formula that was going to nourish my baby but not make them sick. After trying so many on the market I finally came accross Carnation Good Start. They sent me a coupon in the mail for a free can of their formula and it came at a time when I had no money and the baby needed a can of formula to tide him over before my next month's WIC kicked in. Not only did I get a free can from the company but found that the formula was the best on the…

My daughter was on a special formula for about 4 months after have stomach surgery...and when we finally transitioned her over to "regular" formula, this was the best one (after trying several). She had more results in her development because of the DHA and ARA included in the formula. She had really awful Reflux, and this just worked so well!!! She had less reflux "episodes" with this formula compared to others. — As far as the cost, it is a little less than some of the formulas, but a little more than others (like Parent's Choice, etc.). But you can go onto the…

My review of Nestle's Carnation Goodstart is excellent. I have five children. I breastfed them all. I wanted a formula that was easy on my children's stomach and didn't stain their clothes. I found Nestle's Carnation Goodstart to be the closest to breastmilk. It doesn't smell. It digest in their stomaches like breastmilk. They have easy soft bowel movements. It doesn't get hard and pasty like other formulas make it. I recommend Carnation Goodstart to every mother I know. — …

Nestle/Carnations Good Start Supreme DHA & ARA is an excellent formula for babies with a sensitive stomach. — — With my first child, he couldn't seem to handle the formula. He was constantly both gassy and constipated. We went through 5 formulas before trying Good Start Supreme. Those included soy/lactose free, low iron, and others. Nothing seemed to help the little guy. — — FINALLY, we tried the Good Start Supreme. It was a miracle worker. He still had the occasional gas bubbles, but it was nothing like the torture…

We used this product with my granddaughter, after trying a couple of other ones that were not easily digested. This one didn't cause as much gas and upsets, and was cheaper in cost than Similac or Enfamil, which we tried first. My daughter breastfed, but couldn't keep up with the demand and the doctor recommended Similac. The first bottle of this formula resulted in projectile vomiting on my granddaughters part (totally freaked out my daughter!) and she had to immediately change formula. After the same effect…

We bought this formula for our son because of the "comfort proteins" that were supposedly easier to digest. When we ran out of the Enfamil that the hospital sent us home with we opened our can of Good Start. Right off the bat it was difficult because he didn't like the taste, then it gave him horrible gas and cramps. Our son was the quietest, most serene baby up until we gave him this formula. He was up all night crying in pain, and he's always been a great sleeper. We immediately stopped giving this to him and started looking for another formula. It was a long search, but we have since…

I started my baby out on Enfamil Lipil, she spit up all the time and was so gasy, to the point where it seemed like it really hurt sometimes. I had friends who switched from Enfamil to Nestle Good Start for these reasons, so I tried it with our daughter. It is working like a charm. She hardly ever spits up and although she does have gas (what baby doesn't) it is not nearly as intense as when she was on the Lipil. You can call Good start from 8-8 Monday through Friday and speak with a registered dietician or nurse! I have NEVER waited on hold either, I always get…

I breastfed both of my girls when each were born. I had to stop breastfeeding my oldest because of medications I was taking. We tried a few formulas and she had a really hard time adjusting until we found Carnation Good Start. She did very well once she was on it and continued to use it until she no longer needed formula. Our second daughter decided on her own at 5 months that she no longer wished to breast feed. We immediately put her on Carnation Good Start formula and she had no issues adjusting to it. If I were to ever have anymore children that didn't breastfeed until a year old I'd…

We used Similac formula with our first daughter and thought we would use the same with our second but decided to try Good Start Supreme DHA & ARA and we love it. Our daughter does very well on this formula and when they send the coupons for it you get a really good deal. It comes in several different sizes and we prefer the concentrate formula as it is easy to mix unlike the powder. We tried to use the powder but it wasn't strong enough for our daughter and she was eating too much formula. So we switched to the concentrate and she does really well on it. I would recommend trying this formula…

I used Similac Advance with my first and she had horrible gas problems and she also spit up A LOT. She was miserable...not colicky but pretty darn close. I decided to try Good Start with my second and she has had no spit up, no gas pains...she is a very happy baby. The only thing I don't like is the baby's gas and poop is verrrry stinky. The color is one I hadn't seen before with my first either. I heard it has something to do with the comfort proteins partially digesting before they get to baby's…

We tried Enfamil, and Soy formula with out baby, but he was very gassey and he spit up a lot. And those formulas cost an arm and a leg. We switched he to this formula and he has done wonderfully. He is not gassy and he doesn't spit up! It is very gentle on his stomach and digestive system, plus he is getting all of the nutrition that he needs for his growth and development. This formula is a lot cheaper then a lot of the other formulas out there and sometimes you can get it on clearance at Target in a "Big…

My 1st child was a preemie. He was VERY COLIC!!! Nothing could calm him down and he always wanted to eat but always fussed. The Doctor's had us try Nutramagin, okay, but expensive. I found the carnation good start and decided to try it. WOW!!! I had a completely different baby. He ate when he was supposed to, the colic stopped, and he seemed happy, and it was affordable. Of course I had to use it for my second child. I recommend this formula to…

My daughter always had problems with formula and milk allergy from birth. She had to be on a special formula that was almost 30 dollars a can. Then someone recommended Carnation. I was leery because it was a milk based product, but not only did she not have any problems, but she ate like never before and grew like crazy too! And I didn't have to spend as much per can either. I recommend this product for any of those kids that the pediatricians are so quick to label as allergic to…

i have used carnation good start through 3 little ones. it has been a blessing! 2 of my 3 were very gassy, spitting up and upset stomache kind of babies on other formulas. i thought the more expensive brands were of course better for them. i was proven wrong. once i put them on the good start formula all their tummy problems started to minimulize and then they were no more. by my 3rd baby i didn't even hesitate it was good start and nothing else. thanks good start for helping me have 3 very healthy happy…
