Original Carmex heals chapped lips almost instantly! It is amazing how quickly you can get relief from chapped lips using Carmex. It is however by far the worst smelling chap stick I have ever used. I know some people actually like the smell, but I hate it! It works great, but the smell is terrible!

Carmex has always been a fantastic lip balm that I have used to keep my lips protected. I live in a very dry, high altitude climate. This means that often my lips will get dry. If they get too dry, they crack on the sides in the corners of my mouth and it gets pretty painful. When I use Carmex on a regular basis, I don't ever have this problem. One good thing that I like about Carmex is that it's not flavored. The flavored chapsticks always seem so funny to me - I don't like having the taste of them on my lips and in my mouth. They seem stickier when they have flavor added to them. The jar of Carmex has its pros and cons. When you use your finger to apply, you are able to better control the portion of what goes on your lips. Also, if someone wants to borrow it, they use their finger to retrieve it instead of putting it directly on their lips, which stops the spread of germs. I don't like having the residue on my finger afterwards, though. Carmex melts in the heat, and the jar looks funny in pockets of tight jeans.
