The Canon T1i is an incredible DSLR in terms of value & utility!

5

The Canon EOS Rebel T1i is a remarkable DSLR that provides the user with ease of use, advance tools, and a budget saving price range.  It brings you top of the line features such as a 15.1 mega pixels, a 3.0" 920 liquid crystal display, full HD video capabilities (with a maximum recording resolution of 1920 X 1080) and a one shot auto focus feature.  The photos generated by this camera will make even a novice photographer appear to be talented.  15.1 mega pixels generates clear, brilliant photos that are to die for.  Picture taking will never be the same for you again with this DSLR.

For the price, Canon EOS 400 Digital Camera is a great starter!

I am a photography student and for the past 3 years have been using the Canon EOS 400. Although I would love to have a Mark II 5D (I can't afford one yet), the EOS 400 has been able to do everything that I need it to do for my classes. I especially like the easy to figure out menu options. Rarely do I ever have to consult the manual. Usually I can scroll through the menu and figure out how to do whatever I need to do. Although there are cameras with higher megapixels available, the 10.1 megs work just great for my assignments. Both the 18-55 and 75-300 lenses have the stabalizer options that really help for hand-held shots in low light. I do recommend purchasing a macro lens if you like to take close-up shots. Also an off the camera flash is a good investment as are extra batteries.

Rebel XTI - FANTASTIC camera for learning how to use a DSLR

5

I purchased this camera in Dec 2007 & have loved it since day 1.  I grew up with a camera in my hand (35mm until 2004).  I'd shot on 35mm SLR's for years & decided it was time to make the step to digital.  I consulted with pro photographers in the area to find a camera that was affordable & that would take breathaking images of my then 1 yr old.  Shortly after getting this camera I spent the next year taking every photography class I could find to re-learn all the functions of a SLR and take my photography to the next level.  I have LOVED this camera.  I now own my own photography business & this camera body has taken many beautiful portraits for my clients.  I love the compactness of this camera body & yet that I am able to use many professional accessories & lenses with it.  The kit lenses that came with this camera are really great lenses & have been very impressed with the images I've gotten with them.

We love our Canon cameras!

This is our second Digital Rebel that we have purchased.  We only got a second one because my husband wanted to upgrade the camera from what we had at the time.  We have only been happy with our camera.  This camera can take a huge variety of pictures in a wide range of megapixels.  I have used this camera often for professional photography and have had wonderful results.  This takes wonderful outdoor shots and the flash is adequate for indoor shots (although we invested in a better flash to attach).  As with any electronic, Canon just keeps getting better with their technology.  The camera is easy to hold, is lighter in weight, the controls are easy, there are many modes for different types of shots, and even the option for rapid shots, which are great for having little kids that move a lot!  I would most definitely recommend this camera for anyone-  beginner or novice to take some great pictures!

I wish I had more time to play with the Canon XTI - I love it!

I really love this camera. Although, I must admit I wish I waited a bit and saved up the money to buy the 5d m2 because having this great entry-level SLR just makes me want to become a real photographer and get a REALLY REALLY REALLY great full-scale SLR. I recommend this camera to anyone who wants to move beyond the point-and-shoot and have professional quality photos but not actually be a professional. It is great for all those family moments and trips. I must say though, so many people dont realize - the lens really matters. Buy yourself some more lenses. If you are taking family photos and portraits, I recommend as a cheap option the 50mm 1.8. At this point I've upgraded to the 50mm 1.2L and it's amazing, but the 1.8 is a gerat starting point. THe lens that comes with the camera isnt too bad but it isnt great either... especially not so good in low light. Listen, this camera can do great things, I've taken some amazing shots with it and I can't wait to take more!
