When I first registered for a baby I basically saw the full sized swings. In the store they seemed like a decent size. It wasn't until I got it home and assembled did I realize just how large it was. We had to find a spot that we were going to put the swing in our living room. It was quite awkward and took up so much room. However, my son absolutely loved swinging. So there was really no choice but to keep it. By the time my twins came around we knew we need another swing. This time around I had seen many of my friends use the smaller portable swings. They loved them. I was sold! I went and bought two smaller ones. My twins were small babies so they fit in it perfectly. I"m not sure how much use a larger baby would get out of the swing because they are on the smaller size. I loved this product. I was able to move the swings from room to room if I had to and it was able to put out of the way when they were not being used. I could also take it with us outside the house. It easily fit in the back of our SUV. The swing was nice and plush and my babies were nice and cozy. The music was nice and soothing and quite often the swings would rock my twins to sleep. I was very happy and highly recommend over a full size swing.

As a new mom I wasn't exactly sure what I needed to register for I registered for a regular sized swing but not a portable swing. I didn't see a point to have two swings. That wasn't until the only thing that would put my baby to sleep is a swing. Whenever we would go to visit friends or family he would fight sleep and never get into a good deep sleep. We then purchase this portable swing. It fold very thin and small and we would always just keep it in our trunk for wherever we would go. It was light and portable and easy to transport. To set it up you just click both legs easily into place. There are different speed and sound options on the swing. It also has a timer which is a feature that I never had seen on any other swings. My son fits really nice in the swing and it is very supportive are his head. A great portable swing. Durability This swing has now lasted through three of my children, each child I have to change the batteries but other than that it's like it is brand new.

This swing has a couple advantages over other larger swings. First, it's size is compact. While you bring home a tiny <10lb baby, you quickly learn that babies come with a lot of stuff. If you have a small house, it is difficult to find space for a giant swing. Second, this swing folds and combined with the above mentioned size, it can travel with you to Grandma's house. This is especially helpful during the early baby stages when they can't sit on their own or do anything on the floor. Third, my baby loved the swing! She would fall asleep in it, which makes it worth it's weight in gold to any sleep deprived parent. As with most baby stuff, babies have different preferences, so what works for one might not work for another. Fourth, the battery power lasted surprisingly long. I thought it was going to be a battery hog as it doesn't have an alternative power source, but we didn't replace the batteries until our baby was four months old. I think it could use a higher swing speed, but this seems to be constant across all brands of swings. I also think it could have more songs. They got old fast! Overall, I would recommend this to every expecting mom.

Bright starts is a great brand from what I have experienced so far. I got this swing as a gift when I was pregnant with my first child. I was living in a 300Sq.Ft. apartment in the city. I didn't have the space for a really big swing. This was perfect. And when you aren't using it, it can fold up and slide under the crib. Once I moved out of the city, and traveling from house to house so the family can meet the baby, the ease of this swing helped out a lot. just fold it up and toss it in the back seat. No big deal at all. The music quality is amazing, and have a timer for it to shut off, same with the swinging action. If I remember correctly the swing had 6 different swinging speeds. And it adjusts the swings power based on the weight of the child. It didn't chew through batteries nearly as bad as some of the bigger swings do. My little one liked this swing more than his full sized one. He's much too big for it now, but I kept it for when I have my next baby I liked it that much.

We got this for our son when he was 8 weeks old.  I did a lot of research on regular sized swings and then travel sized swings, and finally decided that a travel sized swing was best for us since we have 2 stories in our house and I wouldn't be able to tote the full size swing up and down the stairs.  Many of the travel sized swings had horrible reviews saying that they were not sturdy and did not have enough power to them to swing. This swing had great reviews, so I chose to go with it. I am so glad I did! And now I get to add to the positive reviews.  It easily folds up so I can tote it back and forth between the upstairs and downstairs.  It is very sturdy (for a travel swing) and seems to be great quality.  It has many different speeds, a timer for 15, 30, and 45 min intervals, and also plays music. My little one loves it!  Best of all, it is a great price. Overall, I would definitely recommend this to a friend and it is worth every penny we spent!

Upon having my 4th child, I wanted to get a travel sized swing that would be small enough to tote with us on out frequant trips, yet sturdy enough to be truly functional.  I had tried full-sized swings with my first 3 babies. but it was so cumbersom, loud, and only 1 of my 3 babies really liked it.  I got rid of the full-size swing before our 4th baby was born.   I wanted a pretty, pink, pink, pink swing!!  This did not dissapoint!  It was absolutly simple to put together and took me no more than 10 minutes.  The seatcover is very soft and completly washable.  The motor is just as they say, so quiet you can't even hear it!  I love the feture that adjusts the swing to the weight of the baby - so if you have a heavy baby, you don't have to put it on high just to get it to move!  It folds nicely and tucks into a corner in my dining room when it's not in use, but is easy enough to set up that I frequently take it out and set it up with one hand while holding my 5 months old with the other.  She loves the little bird and flower that hang from the toy bar as well!  A great find - I only wish I had it for my other babies!

Bright stars comfortable and portable swing is pretty good so far. My 3 month old, who is pretty big (90th percentile) fits in the swing perfectly. Not sure how much longer it will last though, if she grows any more, her feet will dangle over the edge! I would recommend this swing for newborn - 4 months old. It is super quiet (we used to have a Graco, and that one was LOUD), and the settings are very easy to use. It wasn't bad to assemble either (I did it all by myself...no hubby around!) you just need a screwdriver. I have the Pink Pastel one, and I love the colors and design. It is also very soft and comfy for the baby. My little one also loves the toy bar, and I love that it is so flexible so I can take her in and out of the swing easily. The only reason I didn't give this swing 5 stars is because the recline options don't seem very safe. Every time I put the swing in the upright position, it seems to fall back in the recline position. It scares me, but the baby is always fine, just jolted a little. But other than that, this swing is great for little babies...if you need a small swing to rock your baby to sleep, get this one...don't go for the monster sized Graco one; this one does the job for 1/3 of the price.
