Great for Children of All Ages

By

from Blackwell, OK

Comments about Banana Boat Quick Dry Sport Sunblock Spray SPF 30:

This is a good sunblock to use on children. It covers well, dries fast, and doesn't have a nasty smell like some sunblock sprays do.

Scent
There is a very light alcohol smell to this product. I think this is why it dries so quickly. It's doesn't have a very strong alcohol smell to it, which means it's not as harsh as other products on the skin.

Absorption
This goes on quickly and absorb really fast. It's great for children who don't want to stand still long enough to get covered well.

Longevity
It lasts about as long as any other sunblock, which means it should be applied at least every two hours to get good protection from the sun. Since it's a spray, it's not a hassle to make my kids stop playing to reapply it.

Effectiveness
My children have never had a sunburn when I have used Banana Boat Quick Dry Sport Sunblock Spray. Which to me says it's a ten where effectiveness is concerned.

Ease of Application
Banana Boat Quick Dry Sport Sunblock Spray SPF 30 is the easiest sunblock to apply because it's quick dry. All you do is spray it on and go.

This didn't provide enough SPF for me.

By

from West Virginia

Comments about Banana Boat Quick Dry Sport Sunblock Spray SPF 30:

I bought this a couple summers ago and after a days usage, I realized it just wasn't the sunscreen for me. I try to use a heavy SPF sunscreen, even when I have a good base tan going on because I don't want to get burned. When I experience a sunburn, I usually blister, peel, and gain a huge amount of new freckles.

I bought this sunscreen because it was on sale and my boyfriend had insisted that anything after SPF 30 was really pointless. He said he had read that 30 was really all you need and that anything higher was just a waste of money.

I went ahead and purchased this because of the sale and because I love the aerosol and spray lotions. It's so much more convenient for me to be able to spritz this on. The spray bottle eliminates the need to have to be careful holing the lotion bottle with slippery hands. I can spritz this all over my entire body and then go back and rub it in all at once. The spray bottles also seem to leave behind less mess on my hands and towels.

This lotion is their SPF 30 and it wasn't strong enough at all for me. My nose, cheeks, and forehead peeled. The only parts of my face that didn't peel were my chin and brow. My ears even peeled!

My shoulders didn't burn quite as bad as my face but they did burn. I had little blisters all over my shoulders that kind of looked like warts (but they were obviously sun blisters). This wasn't strong enough to withstand the summer sun or the pool. I made sure to reapply after going in and out of the water.

I'm sure this did protect me somewhat because my legs didn't burn too much and my shoulders weren't as bad as previous incidents but it didn't protect my face.

After my experience with this sunscreen, I opted to start using their SPF 50 and SPF 70 lotions. This SPF 30 version hasn't gone to waste though! It's gentle and safe enough to use on the dogs ears when we go for runs and it seems to deter the bugs.

Scent
It has a good scent. It's tropical smelling.

Absorption
It absorbs really well. The spray bottle helps a lot.

Longevity
For me, it wasn't strong enough.

Effectiveness
This wasn't enough sun protection for my face. It helped but it wasn't quite enough.

Ease of Application
The spray makes it much easier to apply but I still rub it in.

Great for quick sun protection

By

from USA

Comments about Banana Boat Quick Dry Sport Sunblock Spray SPF 30:

I love that this formula is quick dry, it really makes it a great product if you're in a rush or need just a sunscreen touch up. I wouldn't recommend if you're trying to get a lot of coverage but if you just have a few exposed areas it's great for that.

Scent
There's definitely an alcohol smell to it but it's mild enough that it doesn't bother me the way so many of the spray sunscreens do.

Absorption
Quick dry is a godsend if you don't have twenty minutes to rub in a bunch of lotion and wait for it to sink into your skin. It absorbs quickly and you can be back to doing what you want to do in two minutes.

Longevity
I end up reapplying this a lot because I never feel like I'm getting enough coverage when I have to squirt one little squirt at a time.

Ease of Application
I have to say I really prefer the continuous spray sunscreen for spending a day in a swimsuit. I honestly couldn't imagine trying to cover my whole body one spritz at a time.

Awesome coverage and protection

By

from China Grove, NC

Comments about Banana Boat Quick Dry Sport Sunblock Spray SPF 30:

This is one of the sunscreens that I use all the time. It is super easy to apply and the coverage is fantastic. My daughter plays tourney softball and is out in the sun all day long and during the summer months is sweating all day. I can apply this in the morning and re-apply once more during the afternoon and that will keep her covered and protected; even through all the sweat.

Scent
This is a nice clean scent not like the over powering, take your breath away kind of smell. Some sunscreens you almost have to hold your breath so that you don't inhale the smell but this is subtle and light. It is great for the little ones that "like to talk" all the time.

Absorption
This product absorbs very quickly with out you having to stand around waving your arms like a mad woman trying to get it dry. As soon as I spray this I would say with in 10 seconds it is dry and the kids are ready to go.

Longevity
During the summer months we spend our days outdoors all the time whether it be at the pool or at the ball field we are a active family on the go so we need a sunscreen that will keep up. This does its job to the fullest; Ican spray everyone in the morning and now that they will be covered for at least 4-5 hours before I have to re apply. I don't worry that its wearing off or constantly worried that they are not covered and going to get burnt.

Effectiveness
Awesome; neither of my kids have gotten burnt while I have used this.

Ease of Application
So simple; just spray and go. I have never had the need to rub it in just spray them done. I do spray it in my hands to get their faces and ears.

Banana Boat Quikdry sunscreen is perfect and long lasting

By

from Carlsbad, CA

Comments about Banana Boat Quick Dry Sport Sunblock Spray SPF 30:

I know most people buy the continuous spray sunscreen lotion these days because they are very convenient and easy to use.  But I prefer the Banana Boat Quikdry Sport body and scalp 30 SPF sunscreen for a few reasons.  First, it doesn't end up getting wasted like the continuous spray lotions do.  We live in San Diego and use A LOT of sunscreen and so I like to get all I can out of one bottle.  WIth the Banana Boat quikdry spray lotion, one spritz per spot and soon your whole body is covered.  Also, it works well on skin that has hair...ie...baby scalps, little children's legs and my husbands legs and chest.  I also like the fact that I can hand it to my children, they can spritz themselves up and not end up using the whole bottle because it has sprayed off into the air instead of on their bodies like what happens when they use the continuous spray sunscreens.  We buy only one or two bottles of the Banana Boat Quikdry sport body and scalp spritz and it lasts us all summer.  It lasts through rain, sea water, sand, sweat and we never burn.  Very good product.
