I received the Ahava deadsea mineral body lotion for a gift. I have always been very perticular about what I used on my sensative skin. The very first time I used it, I was hooked. My hand just glided over my skin after application. I like the smell of the "Water" scent, although it not the type of scent I generally go for. I just love the way my skin feel after I apply the lotion. It's so smooth, not sticky- not heavy.

It will work well with your regular day or night cream. A couple of drops applied at the same time will make your skin very soft and will give you that little extra pampering that you love. It blends right in and starts to work instantly to bring you more perfect skin. Scent To me, there is little to no scent at all. Absorption Works into the skin very fast along with my day/night time moisturizer. 2 drops is all that is needed of the serum and it will do the job. Effectiveness My skin does seem softer. It's non greasy so it works in my skin well with the moisturizer that I use. It doesn't make my skin shiny or does it make the scent of my skin more or less but it does seem to smooth out tiny imperfections better with the product than without it.

I love this lotion. I use it all over my body everytime after I take a shower. I have sensitive skin especially after I shave my legs. Any product I put on my legs after shaving has to be super gentle otherwise I will end up with a rash and burn. I was given this product as a gift from my sister who swore by it. And i have to say that this is the best lotion i have used. It goes on very creamy and silky. You can tell already that it is long lasting. The fragrance is extremely light and not over powering. It is perfect! I used it each and every time that i take a shower. I apply it all over my body and never have been irritated by it at all. When i use this product at night before going to bed, I wake up and i can tell my skin is moisturized. It is not dry and flaky.. but rather very smooth and moiturized. It is by no means greasy. I will definately buy this same product once i am done with this bottle. It is a large bottle and i have been using it for a while. The only thing I need to do is put it in a smaller container when travelling.. it is way too large to travel with.

My husband travelled to Israel and brought me back some Ahava lotion as a souvenir several years ago. I had never heard of Ahava brand before, but after using it, it's my favorite lotion! It not only smells wonderful, but it works fantastically! I only have to put a dab on my skin and it goes a long way. In the winter time especially, I have a hard time keeping my hands from cracking because the skin is so dry. But with this lotion, that's not an issue! I keep it next to my bathroom sink so that I can apply some immediately after washing my hands. I don't have the 24 oz (but that would be wonderful!!!), just the 8.5 oz. But this comes with a pump on the top which makes applying it very easy! I received this as a gift every time I've used it, so I don't know how much it costs or where to buy it from. But I think it is definitely worth the price whatever it is! I would definitely recommend this product to others!

My friend took a trip to Israel last summer and I was so envious that she was going to float in the Dead Sea. When she returned from the trip she gave me a framed picure of her and her husband floating in the Dead Sea and attached a bottle **AHAVA Mineral Body Lotion**.  It was very sweet of her to think of me but I'd much rather just float in the Dead Sea as I didn't much care for this lotion. AHAVA is the only cosmetics company that comes from the region of the Dead Sea and strives to produce the finest Dead Sea products in the world. This body of water contains the highest concentration of minerals in the world and is renowned for its curative properties. Mineral body lotion contains moisturizers and aloe vera that hydrate and heal the skin. It is safe to use on sensitive skin and is also hypoallergenic and dermatologist tested. After showering I apply Mineral Body Lotion all over my body, paying special attention to my legs as they are always the driest. Due to the high salt content in the Dead Sea, I half expected this lotion to burn my freshly shaved legs but it didn't. I don't know why I thought it would be all salty. Silly me. The lotion is quite thin which also surprised me as I expected it to be rich and creamy. The website does describe it as a "milk" though so I was wrong to expect something thicker. Mineral Body Lotion is very gentle and moisturizing and not greasy at all. Despite it's thin consistency it soaks right into the skin and makes it feel soft and smooth all day long. So why didn't I like it?  The scent. To my nose it's extremely floral and strong and it gives me a major headache. The lotion itself is terrific but I cannot use it again due to the scent alone which is sad because I really liked it. Even after washing my hands the scent still lingered and I could smell it all day. Tried three times, got a headache three times.  Ingredients can be found at www.ahava.co.il   ****Four stars**** as it is a very nice moisturizer.  I had to remove a star due to the sheer stinkiness of it.
