I recently purchased a landrider autoshift bike and I wasnt too pleased with it. Me and my son rode it on Chicagos lakefront bike path for the whole 18 miles from end to end. You have to pedal fast to make it go into a higher gear. The bike is kind of heavy also making it a very tiresome ride. Its equipped with thick heavy 26" tires making it even more heavier. I started to buy a Trek bike no I'm regreting my decision to buy the Landrider Autoshift. A few years ago I bought a Landrider bike that was not an autoshift bike and it was a whole lot better. Only problem I've had with that bike is the sprokets on the rear wheel had broke apart and had to get a new set.
