I love papaya enzymes. I would not leave my home without them, they are always in my purse. I discovered papaya years ago when I was pregnant with my second child and decided that a nurse midwife was a better option for me over using an OBGYN again. I was eating TUMs by the handful, thinking they were ok since they are high in calcium. What I didn't realize was that they are also high in aluminum and other things that may not be good for the fetus. My midwife suggested papaya pills. I followed her advise and was completely shocked at how well they worked. They took care of the indigestion almost immediately and they tasted great!. I also didn't feel like I was doing any damage to me or the baby. I liked that they are made from papaya (a natural digestive aid) and they were more natural. I have told many people over the years about papaya pills and this brand is fairly inexpensive and work quickly. I have even purchased them for friends who have become pregnant or friends who just suffer from indigestion.

For frequent acid reflex, short-term relief can be found in Finest Natural Papaya and Enzymes Chewable Tablets. However, over time I have discovered prolonged used decreases its effectiveness. Papaya enzyme is really gentle and soothing, but it only helps with digestion mildly. So for the price and quality, it is still comparable to paying for very finely made and expensive kid gloves, for an adult's job. For more effective approach, I would recommend taking pineapple-based or -extracted enzymes, such as bromelain. But this is a "Your Mileage May Vary" type of situation, since papaya while gentle and less effective, may suit people with stomach that don't tolerate pineapple's more aggressive, potentially caustic nature that aggravates their condition. Otherwise, smell, taste, texture of these Finest Natural Papaya and Enzymes Chewable Tablets is fine. I find nothing objectionable, just the effectiveness over time can decrease.

Many, many years ago, a friend of mine told me about Papaya enzyme and it's ability to help you when you have a sour stomach.  I tried it and have been using Finest Natural Papaya and Enzymes Chewable Tablets ever since. They are chewable with no added preservatives.  I normally take 2-3 but the bottle contains 100 so they last a long time.  They have a sweet taste, almost like a sweettart or smarties candy, so everyone in the family is happy to use this product.  How does it work? Papaya Enzyme contains the enzyme, papain, beneficial for aiding digestion, relieving indigestion and heartburn.  It encourages the digestion of food.  I prefer taking something natural to taking anti-acids or anything gross to chew on with that chalky flavor.  We keep them with us while traveling and I keep some at work. I find them particularly useful when stressed as my stomach tends to feel a little upset at these times. I highly recommend giving this product a try. At first, I thought it was strange - papaya to help an upset stomach??  But it really works!
