This Exerpuetic 900XL Magnetic Recumbent Bike with Pulse is great for exercise and also great for help in strengthening the knees. I use this bike often as well as my mom who has arthritis in the knees. Her doctor suggested a recumbent bike so this is the one we bought. It's a great bike for the price we paid. I use it a few times a week and love the workout I get from it. There are tons of different resistance levels to make for a lighter or more intense workout. I love the ease of use and how awesome my legs feel after a hard workout on this bike. The only thing I don't like is if I ride it for too long my feet and bottom start to fell numb or tingle. There are handles by the seat or in front of you by the screen which makes it nice to be able to change it up from time to time. If you are looking for something to use to get a great low impact workout I would highly recommend this bike.

About 8 months ago my doctor put me on an exercise program that had success in helping patients that suffer from POTS (Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome). People who have POTS have a intolerance to exercise, which in return causes our bodies to become Deconditioned. My doctor recommended starting out on a recumbent cycle, which lead to me to buying the Exerpeutic 900 XL magnetic recumbent bike. When I bought the recumbent cycle I loved the fact that it had a build in pulse reader, but became quite disappointed when realizing that the pulse indicator was not accurate. I also have a very accurate pulse indicator chest strap and the recumbent cycle pulse reader was 20-30 beats less than the chest strap indicated. But other than the pulse indicator, the recumbent cycle works great. The cycle measures the distance traveled, speed, time and calorie burned during the workout. The tension resistance works great also. I would definitely recommend this recumbent cycle for beginner cyclers.

The Exerpedic Recumbent 900XL bike is just what what the name suggests, exersize and theraputic. I was recovering from Leukemia and was very weak.I worked on these bikes for three months. The bike itself was very comfortable the seat os oversixzed and semi cushy,the seat back sits back on an angle to make you comfortable. It doesn't hurt your tailbone if you have lower back problems. Its LED readout screen is easy to see,easy to learn. Lastly the handlebars check your pressureand monitor your progress.
