The ASUS VH222H Black 21.5" 5ms HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor is perfect. I jut upgrades from a 17" monitor and it is amazing how clear and big everything seems in comparison. I like to have more than one screen opened a time or a split screen as I often work two programs at a time. The wide screen makes it much easier to view 2 sites simultaneuosly without having to scroll from side to side as frequently. The picture is clear and crisp and the text is vivid and easy to read. The The ASUS VH222H Black 21.5" 5ms HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor is very reasonably priced and given that the images are clear and crisp and the color is great, I can not imagine why I would pay more unless I wanted options that this monitor does not provide. Let' talk about what it does not provide first. A non-issue for me was that this monitor does not have a built in webcam. If you already have a webcam or do not use the webcam then it is a non-issue and in my opinion there is no reason to pay for something that I do not use now. That does raise the question that if I want a webcam later then I would have to purchase it. That being the case, I can always purchase an external webcam at some point and time that I may want one. I do not like to pay for options that I do not want or have a need for and the ASUS VH222H Black 21.5" 5ms HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor permits me to get geat color and visual quality. Now let's talk about what it does provide. I like to play DVD movies on my ASUS VH222H Black 21.5" 5ms HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor and this monitor works handsomely for that purpose. Movies visuals play well and the picture is crisp as this monitor has full 180p full HD support. The widescreen shape of this monitor lends itself well to watching widescreen DVDs. It has a contrast technology so easily goes from day scenes to night scenes with correct color brightnes, sharpness and contrast to keep this movie buff happy, content and satisfied. I understand that the graphics for game playing are as excellent as the visuals are for watching movies, however, I do not really play games on the computer but if the contrast and clarity are as good as watching movies then I do not see any reason why this would not be good for gaming. The built in speakers work okay and if it is important to you to have the extra freed up workspace on your desk then you will probably like this. These are 2 watt speakers and are integrated. I still prefer use my external speakers when watching movies so that I can I can postion the speakers pointed at my from both corners of the desk but the desk work space is not an issue for me. For listening to newscasts, I think that the integrated speakers work just fine. Ease of use was excellent. It featues an HDMI input to receive high digital video and audio on a single cable connection. The overall design is sleek, modern and attractive. It hs a glossy black trim around the monitor's screen and a slim profile when you look it the monitor from the side. The monitor is not wobbly but it will shakes back and forth if accidently touched like when reaching for the scotch tape. When this happens I find it necessary to put a hand on the monitor to stop it from shaking. It is an extremely minor drawback and one that is caused my my own clumsiness and would not stop me from getting another ASUS VH222H Black 21.5" 5ms HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor if I had a second computer nor would it change my recomendation. I use the computer daily and have not had any pixels burnt out. The quality of the picture stays consistently excellent from when I first turn the monitor on until I turn the monitor off which is very often many hours later. It is lightweight but as I am not varrying it around, he weight really does not matter.

I've owned my Asus VH222H for almost a year and a half now and I still absolutely love it. I've always been a fan of Asus motherboards and I'm really glad to see that they're branching out and bringing their usual quality to other components. The monitor has excellent color, is viewable from a fairly good range of angles, and has held up very well with no dead pixels or problems at all. My only complaint, and it's a minor one, is that it's never felt very sturdy or secure, it has quite abit of "jiggle" to it if you shake the desk or give the monitor a nudge.

Amazing resolution and great color display.  I regularly watch blu-rays through the DVI hook-up on the back of the monitor and its fantastic to see them in full 1080p widescreen like that.  I bought the monitor over a year ago and its still my main monitor and has given me zero problems to date.  Windows 7 recognized the monitor immediately and I had little problem optimizing it for my system.  I also use the monitor for heavy gaming and have thus far avoided any issue with any kind of burn in or ghosting.  The monitor also features an HDMI input as well as an audio output so that you can run your HDMI device through the monitor and still patch the audio back to other older devices that may not have the ability to handle HDMI.  I've recommended this product to several of my friends, and after having seen it in my home a few of them have also purchased it and are just as happy as I am with it.

I bought this monitor because it had everything that I needed- HDMI, VGA, and DVI inputs, as well as speakers. I wanted a monitor that I could use for my computers (old and new) as well as my xbox 360. I didn't want to have to use external speakers, as I didn't have a lot of room for them on the table I was using. I was surprised to find that the speakers that are built into the monitor sound really good (for being so small). The great thing is that they are invisible speakers, so you can't even tell they are there (I don't like the extra space that speakers take). The monitor also switches between inputs really easily and quickly. I can have all of my peripherals hooked up at once, and switch between them when I need to (like when I'm stuck in an xbox game and need to look online for tips and tricks). The piano gloss body of the monitor can collect finger prints, but I am only pushing in the corner where the buttons are, so that isn't an issue to me.
