They gave me a card, when nobody else would!

always looking for ways to save, interest conscious, appreciative of good customer service, a comparison shopper, married, a homeowner

    When I first tried to get a credit card a few years back from several companies I was turned down flat. Although I didn't have bad credit, I didn't have any recent credit history. My sister in law told me to try Wells Fargo so I gave them a try. So I did and after filling out all the paper work I got a call asking me to come into their local office to facilitate the paper work. Their office is about 10 minutes away so I went over to see them.

I never leave home without it. Only card always taken.

I got my card when I opened an account and got a mortgage with WFmore than 10 years ago. They've been great at service. Every time I contact them with a question, they're polite and helpful--such a change from what I usually seem to get with my other card. I almost exclusively use this card for purchasing anymore.

I especially appreciate their quick uptake on possible fraud--they contact me immediately if there's activity that seems suspicious. I am not really into having many credit cards because I don't want to think about falling into debt. However the customer service for this card is fantastic. They have increased my limits and decreased my APR on their own 2 times in the past 3 years.

For all the cards I used so far, they have great website that takes care of everything, so there is little need to call them-which is such a hasle. However their point system is really not that good anymore-especially if you use it for travel-it is not worth paying the fee.
