I am a mother of 3 children, 2 are under the age of 3. I am often short on time when I cook and found myself breaking out the good old can vegetables, that I knew my poor children were tired of eating. I bought the Tupperware Smart Steamer at a Tupperware party, after a presentation was made using this product. The lady had me sold after I tasted fresh broccoli cooked in this steamer right out of the microwave. When I saw the price, I gasped, but I knew if I bought it, I could provide a wider selection of vegetables to my children and still save time. This product will last for generations, it's a very well built quality steamer. I've been able to cook so much with this steamer, corn on the cob, broccoli, asparagus, which my kids had never heard of before this steamer. I must stress that even though foods are cooked in the microwave, this product prevents the loss of nutrients, keeps the texture of the food, and takes oils out of the food. I'm so thrilled about my SmartSteamer and think it's so worth the price! I think this product was made for moms like me who are short on time but want to provide a healthy meal for their family. Tupperware hit it out of the park when they invented this product and I highly recommend it.

Tupperware's SmartSteamer is break through technology for your microwave!  This innovative product blocks the microwaves that normally cook foods, and directs them to the Water Tray - creating steamed delicious, nutritious meals in minutes. By directing microwaves away from food and into the water in the Water Tray, only the water is heated.  The heated water creates steam which cooks the contents inside of the Steamer Base and the Colander stack and steam two foods at once, or the Steamer Base can be used alone when steaming bulky foods like cauliflower. Ok, I have never cooked food in my microwave till I was given this product.  Prior to this I had unsuccessfully tried to make desserts :-(.  So I thought, ok I will give it a try.  In their recipes book there is a recipe for Tangy Citrus Chicken with Vegetables - oh my gosh!!!  This is the best chicken I've had in a long time.  Can't wait to try fish next - Cilantro Mojo Mahi-mahi with Orange Salsa (again from the booklet that comes with it). The SmartSteamer was easy to use - fill water to line, put chicken in base with sauce brushed on, place colander tray on and put vegetable on it.  Now microwave in less than 20 minutes I had a great dinner for two that was tasty, nutritious, reduced leftovers (I always cook too much), and easy clean up (didn't burn a thing & wasn't sticky).
