These do a great job of squelching my heartburn pretty quickly. I only get heartburn on the occasion. Usually I suffer heartburn perhaps once every two weeks but it seems like once I get it, it takes a day or two for it to settle down. I like these Tums in the berries because you can get a huge container of them which makes the price not so bad when you consider how many Tums you're getting. I also like the flip top on these because they seem to stay fresher longer than with the ones in the roll. The chewable part makes them a little harder to get down because they're kind of chalky and they dry your mouth out while you're chewing them up, plus the taste isn't amazing. The taste actually isn't too bad. It kind of tastes like off brand candy or old Halloween candy. It isn't bad necessarily, but it leaves an odd taste in your mouth and isn't something you just want to eat because it tastes good. all that aside though, for mild to moderate heartburn, these are great for me. They do a good job with usually two tablets but occasionally I'll chew three. Within three minutes my heartburn feels as if it's no longer crawling up my throat. It starts to feel less and less close to coming up my esophagus. It takes a few more minutes to settle things completely but ultimately it keeps the acid toned down. I have noticed when the heartburn is really bad though, I still feel a little queasy and heartburny in my stomach but it doesn't reach my throat. Chewing 2-3 once usually does the trick for me. Sometimes if I've eaten something harsh like Mexican salsa, my heartburn will recur again the next day but 2-3 chewable is all it takes for tone my heartburn down or take it out completely for the rest of the day. Effectiveness I gotta say, for me, these go to work pretty quickly. They settle the acid so my throat and mouth aren't on fire and stinging. I like that they have calcium and that the taste isn't unbearable. I'd say these are best for people like me who have mild to moderate heartburn after eating spicy or acidic foods. Ease of Use Very easy to use but a little chalky and sometimes hard to get chewed up. Sometimes I cheat and use a little water to get the particles down because they dry my mouth out. Immediacy Takes a couple minutes and sometimes it just sort of tones the heartburn down but overall pretty immediate relief.

in my review of tums extra strength i just like this product so so so much. i like it so so so much beacuse it helped when i had a ulcer. i was diagnosed with having a ulcer in the year 2000. when i met my hunny in 2006 i told him i had a active ulcer that everytime i ate something saucey or spicey i would be in so much pain. so he said let me see if theres anything i can find on the internet that will help you or even take the ulcer away i said ok. so he told me that you know tums is an antacid that helps ulcer i said are you serious? he said yes i said i never knew that. so when i started taking them in 2006 i started feeling much much better that at times i was able to eat something spicey or even saucey. now it is 2010 and til this day i still take tums extra strength because they really did stop my ulcer. it also stopped me from bleeding internally. i'm so glad that my hunny found these for me and helped me. i say buy them although they are a little pricey its worth it.

I suffer constantly from heartburn, especially after enjoying anything spicy or with onions, which I love but I really don't like the acid reflux that comes after. I didn't want to try anything expensive or gross tasting so I thought of buying the berry assortment of Tums, since I've often used it in the past with some success. I love the shape of the container and the ease of opening it. It easily snaps open with one hand and I don't have to worry about having to shake the bottle for an hour to spill out a couple. On a downside to this container style is that it probably would not be a good choice for a household with children since these tums taste like candy and look like it too. I don't have to worry about that in my house but I thought I would just mention that. The tablets are chewable and although they have a bit of a chalky texture (as the original tums do), they are quite pleasing on the tongue and I don't have any difficulty getting them down. They are also pretty effective on heartburn, almost immediate relief; though it doesn't last very long so I think for minor heartburn and indigestion, it's a good product, but for more serious cases, you might want to try something stronger.

I suffer horribly from heartburn and acid indigestion so Tums is a must have for me. I love the berry flavors of this pack! They taste like candy and if i can't get my needed daily intake of calcium, this does the trick as well. I don't mind the chalky texture of these because they're significantly less than the regular Tums. Not as thick on the tongue and they don't taste awful either. I will take about two of these at the onset of symptoms and they work within ten to fifteen minutes. Not bad for an antacid and you can enjoy a taste of berries at the same time. I wouldn't recommend giving these to children as they might think they're candy and eat the whole container, but for adults, it's a good alternative to expensive antacid medication.

I have acid reflux and I do take a daily pill for that but sometimes I need more. Tums Ultra Strength 1000 are just the thing. I particularly like the assorted berries flavor. They taste really good! And it certainly is good that they also add calcium to my diet. As a woman of a certain age, I need more calcium and every little bit helps. I would recommend these Tums Ultra Strength 1000 to everyone. It works for anything from mild indigestion to major upset stomach. I always keep a bottle of Tums in the house because you never know when something you eat will not agree with you. I tend to have a sensitive stomach as well so if you are like me, it is imperative to have something on hand. If I had to pick one thing to have for my stomach problems, it would be Tums Ultra Strength 1000.

I have suffered from frequent heartburn for many years and have tried many, many products, both prescription and over the counter. While I do take a prescription medicine (Protonix) for my heartburn, I find that sometimes at night especially, I need a little something else to help me deal with acid reflux. I have found the Tums Ultra 1000 Maximum Strength Assorted Berries tablets to work the best!!!!!! I keep a bottle of these on my night stand and wouldn't be without them. I have tried the other flavors that Tums makes, but find the Assorted Berries variety to be the best tasting. Also, I like the Maximum Strength variety because at times my heartburn can be really bad. I hope you never have to experiece the burning from heartburn or acid reflux, but if you do please give these a try!!!! I found that they worked for me, and I hope they would work for you. For persistant heartburn though , you should probably consult your doctor.

The assorted berries flavored Tums are my favorite tasting Tums. I find they work pretty well for most heart burn. I like how Tums are made in the United States of America. My family uses Tums as did my father and his father before him. They are somewhat chalky, but I kind of like it.

When you eat the way we do, fast and furious and sometimes on the run, you are bound to end up with some stomach situations that are not very pleasant. Enter Tums Ultra! Tums has always come through for us. As soon as you begin to feel that slight uneasiness or heaven forbid that burning that begins before the volcano erupts, just chew up the recommended amount of Ultra and you are good to go. Always comes through. But not only for disagreeable stomachs but also for the calcium intake! One of my children has under gone thyroid surgery. This causes her calcium absorption to fluctuate sometimes. The doctor gave her a couple of tests to use to acess whether or not she is calcium deficient or not. If so all she has to do is pop a couple of Tums Ultra and within no time her calcium levels are back up to snuff and she is good to go. We try to keep plenty on hand at all times and even take them to work with us in little baggies or plastic containers because you just never know when the ole belly is gonna turn on ya.

I don't get heartburn much, but when I do it can get bad.  I talked to my doctor about it, and she suggested I either avoid food that give me heartburn or try Tums.  I decided to go for the latter, and the next time I had heartburn I took two tablets.  The heartburn faded and disapeared in a very short period of time.  Much better then cutting out foods that I enjoy eating.  The taste of it was very good, I did not have any problems with the consistancy or taste.  There is no  after taste.  It is the perfect remedy to people with occasional heartburn.  After the heartburn medicine starts working, it has a long lasting effect.  As my heartburn does not last too long, I do not know how long it works.  By the time the medicine wears off, my heartburn is already gone. This price of Tums is pretty affordable.  It is well worth the price, especially for the results that you will recieve from it.

Tums Ultra Maximum Strength Chewable Tablets have been good for me. I have tried numerous products through the years and have found Tums Ultra Maximum Strength Chewable Tablets to work well, have a decent taste and can be used any where, any time. Even my favorite combo dinner at the local Mexican eatery doesn't give me heartburn and indigestion that these can't take care of. I have stomach problems and not everything out there is made equally. With Tums Ultra Maximum Strength Chewable Tablets I get a quality product I can use even when nauseas. Other products in the past have turned indigestion into vomiting. I have never had that problem with Tums Ultra Maximum Strength Chewable Tablets, they work without causing additional issues. I would recommend Tums Ultra Maximum Strength Chewable Tablets to anyone who has a need for an antacid that is fast working, tastes good and can get you back on track.
