A good for you diet

Comments about Sugar Busters:

I have tried and succeeded going sugar free.  I will say it is not easy at all. I felt grumpy for days in my case.  I had a headache.  I felt light headed.  I craved all sorts of  sweets. No one wanted to be around me. For breakfast I would have old fashion oatmeal cooked really creamy without adding anything to it.  Very hard to stomach but I was very hungry so I ate it.  It was very hard to eliminate corn from my diet.  I love hot polenta and coconut oil popped popcorn.  I can eat it morning noon and night.  But then I would look like I was pregnant.  Cornmeal raisin pancakes were also hard to part with.  I wish I had the will power to continue this diet because it worked.  I was sugar free for months until I slipped up and had popcorn.   But I am trying now to abstain for corn and raisins right now.  Bananas are no problem and pineapple too much work to slice up any way.  I never use table sugar.  The only sweetener I have used is stevia.  I am even going to cut the stevia out too.  You should always stop eating before 7 pm.  I always drink four mason jars of water so I am never dehydrated.  Just dropping the corn from my diet I saw a big difference in my appearance.  I  no longer had the pregnancy look.  I would say that this diet  works. I will succeed at it this time.

I learned a lot about the pitfalls of sugar in my diet.

Comments about Sugar Busters:

This diet is less a diet and more a set of guidelines on how to get rid of too much sugar in your diet. Through eating three square meals and approved snacks, I lost weight. This diet taught me the benefits of eating whole grains and vegetables. I learned that sugar turns straight to fat in my body, which was a good deterrent for me not to eat it. I always have eaten too much sugar in my diet and also too much white food (white bread, white pasta, etc). This book gave me so much insight on why it is so bad for me. The only issue I had with it was the exercise component. I became disabled a couple years ago and I cannot get as much exercise as is suggested through this diet. Walking for a long period of time is even difficult, so a exercising even four times a week is out of the question for me. I did learn a lot through this book, but I could not stick with the exercise regiment, so I ended up not sticking with the diet (plus, I'm terrible at cheating).

Sugar Busters Works

Comments about Sugar Busters:

The premise of Sugar Busters is the idea that sugar is bad and causes weight gain. When you eliminate or reduce sugar from your diet, the weight will come off and you will feel much better and have more energy. For those like myself who are sugar addicts, eliminating sugar is a difficult task. Difficult, but it is doable. The book helps you eliminate or cut back on sugar. I did not eliminate sugar completely, but I drastically reduced my sugar intake and I was amazed at how much better I felt. The book suggests adding in exercise as well, and that also contributes to feeling better. If you add exercise, it also reduces your sugar cravings. Sugar Busters also points out that sugar is in everything, so you will have to look at the packaging on foods you eat. I never realized how much sugar we consume on a daily basis until I read this book. This book is a great guide and has a variety of recipes to follow. There is a list of foods that are good and foods that are not, which is very helpful if you haven't a clue what is good or bad.
