The Sony S44 walkman was one of my first choices when I was looking for a new MP3 player. I had actually wnted to buy the X Walkman, but after taking a look at the price tag and the superior reviews on this walkman, I decided to buy this one instead. This music player has amazing sound quality and crisp images/videos. Paired with Sony's studio monitoring headphones, it makes music I once thought was bland sound actually sound nice for a turn. Compared to the Sandisk player I had before, I was able to hear many more details on this walkman. Not only does it have amazing sound quality, it also has a built in speaker and a very sleek design. I will never get tired of this thing and when it comes time for a new one, I'll be sure to get another one of these. In the year or so I've had it, I've dropped it a bajillion times onto the ground and despite the little chips here and there, it's still working perfectly.

I bought this MP3 Player for my son who is 7 years old for Christmas. He loves it! The thing I like the most about this device is it is very easy to use. My son did not even need my help in figuring how to use this device. He does require some help when downloading music on the MP3 Player. It holds numerous of songs and videos. It comes in a popular color of black. It is very stylish. My son sure shows it off like he is king now. It is lightweight and small enough to fit in his pocket. He loves to carry it in the car when riding because he can listen to his own music of his kind. It was priced reasonably and affordable. The directions are easy to use and it is easy to download music frm the computer on the MP3 Player. I love Sony brand products as I only buy this brand for my electronics. I have never been let down by Sony Brand before on any electronic. I still have my first Tv which is 15 years old.

The Sony NWZ-S544 (8 GB) Digital Media Player is one of the most worthless pieces of failed technology ever made. I bought this media player about a week ago, and it only laster for 2 days before it broke. Now it won't turn on unless I reset it, and even then it only freezes and displays the words "Their is a song for every moment".   I honestly expected greater quality coming from a company like Sony, but i guess i can't trust them now. The costumer service on this product is horrible, they repeat the same thing over and over, "Have you reseted your player? Lets try to reset your player. Please reset the player". Then they send you to this obscure website to "begin the warranty claim progress", but that page is just a huge loop that in the end leaves you with nothing but a broken media player, and a broken heart.    If you are planning on buying this player, save the ticket so that you can return it when it brakes.

I purchased this sony walkman 8 gb mp3 player for my son last year as a holiday present.  It is a much better value than the ipod I think.  I was able to easily load it with songs that I knew he would enjoy.  The ear buds are OK but I opted to get larger ear coverage ear phones for him as the bugs are awkward for him. This is a very attractive little electronic thing and I think this is the perfect starter MP3 player for children because it has just the right storage space and features that aren't confusing for them. I got him some of the sony accessories (holder, etc.) and it really makes handling it easier for him. I opted to get the Sony 32GB MP3 player at the same time as I got him this one.  It was quite an investment, but I think well worth it for adults as it have many many usable features, but it would be just too difficult for an 8 year old to work all of them. I told him that I had a walkman when I was around his age (the old tape cassette walkman of the 80's)  It made him laugh and it made me remember how old I really am now.
