These are awesome, fit great and play my music the way it should be, or so I think. The only reason why it is not five stars is due to the fact that the cord is extremely long so it's not that great for portable use as some may think at first glance. They are very comfortable on the ears, unlike other headphones which may pinch your ear a certain way after long term use which hurts afterwards. I guess it was primarily made for DJ's and the like but for the price, it's great for even average consumers who like some good tunes playing in their ears. It keeps you in your own little music island while not annoying others and keeping them out from annoying you. There are tons of other great headphone models and brands out there but I believe Sony is the best there is since they are the company which invented the Walkman which launched all this musical business and such. Keep it up Sony! I love it.

The Sony MDR-XD100 headphones are awesome!!  I needed a better set of headphones for my new iPod Nano, so I ordered these.  It has been long time since I have used over-the-ear headphones.  I was pleasantly surprized by the Sony MDR-XD100 headphones.  They fit over my ears in a very comfortable manner, and the sound they deliver is great. The cord is longer than on any other headphones I have.  That is not really bad, since I am sometimes tethered to something by a cord that is not too long.  But this cord is so long that when I am walking around with my iPod, I have to coil part of it up to keep it from dragging the ground and tripping me. These do not have the sound-cancelling feature found in much more expensive models.  When I walk along a busy street the traffic noise drowns out the music. It is almost funny, I hook mu little bitty iPod Nano to these big cluncky headphones.  But I get a great sound.
