This is the first smartphone I've ever bought. I wanted something different, in other words I didn't want to be an "i- tool". It was the cheapest for the most bang with my carrier. I love that this phone has an 8 megapixel camera and HD video! I always forget to pack my camera for gatherings and short trips but I always have my cell phone so it's REALLY handy. And of course, it being a Sony, it has a great MP3/media player. I'm not an excessive smartphone user so this phone has just what I need to check email, search the web, and manage my media. If you are searching for a pda type phone this isn't it. I love this phone but there are a few quirks. First, the speakerphone isn't that great, it's hard to hear the caller when using the speakerphone in the car. Second, the onscreen qwerty keyboard keys are a bit small so if you have big fingers you might want to reconsider. There is a stylus that comes with the phone but I don't always feel like using it. =)
