To the PointI have been using Snapfish for a long time. Something has consistently bothered me but it wasn't until I received 500 photos that it was about time to do something!

There is no doubt that Snapfish is usually the least expensive online photo shop. I've found the site easy to use. I like being able to edit easily. I can crop and remove red eye. They have wonderful items to buy such as cards, stationary and photo books. I bought my husband and my step son's girlfriend blocks of paper with sentimental pictures on them and they came out wonderful.

I recently  used Shutterfly for my holiday cards and a few holiday presents. I ordered a memory book,  mouse pads and a calendar.

I had mixed results with my Shutterfly experience. The holiday cards were cheap quality and there were streaks all across my cards. The envelopes were also all scrunched up and looked like they needed to be thrown away (the packaging they sent the cards in was not very secure so the cards got crushed in the mail) I have to admit, I was too embarassed to send most of them out, so I only sent out to people that I had to. I emailed Shutterfly to let them know and they gave me a credit for all of my cards. I have never had any complaints about shutterfly. I like knowing my pictures are safe in one place and it is so easy to navigate! I love being able to create free share sites too! Shipping is fast, quality is great, and they are always throwing out good deals- you can also find great promo codes online to save on shipping and product! If someone is saying they have bad customer service, they must have caught someone on a bad day or been extremely rude. The one time I had slow shipping (it was just unusual for Shutterfly so I contacted them) I got an apology email right back and got credit back as well- and my pictures ended up showing up the next day. The gift ideas with Shutterfly are endless (and affordable) and I will continue to store my pictures here- the scrapbook page ideas are SO much easier than actual scrapbooking that I have actually been able to get going on keeping my pictures organized and not wasted!

LOVE IT!!! Really there isn't much else to say about Shutterfly. It is by far the BEST online photo site available. I have been a loyal customer of Shutterfly now for over 6 years, almost seven. I started using it back in 2003 when my son was born. I love the fact that the pictures I upload from his birth almost seven years ago are still on the site. Shutterfly offers unlimited storage and will never delete your photos. They have also started a new feature that allows you to burn all your pictures on a CD. Besides the storage capacity, their products are amazing. I have ordered pictures, photobooks, cards and flipbooks. The paper quality is high. The books are EASY and FAST to create. The site can be easy navigated and is very user friendly. The best part is they send you free offers for new products all the time. The only draw back to the site is the amount of time the pictures take to upload

Shutterfly.com Pushes My Patience to the Limit

Try BLURB. The many books I ordered from Shutterfly fell apart. Literally, the pages fell out. I shipped them back to the Phoenix office, but they said they never received them, so I am out of about $150. The first book I ordered from Shutterfly still is intact. The subsequent ones fell apart. Thus, I am quite sure they changed the manufacturing. I saw a BLURB book, and I could tell the manufacturing was sturdier.

After deciding to give up my paid website in an effort to save money, I did tons of searching and finally settled on Windows Spaces as my website of choice.  But, if you read that review, you'll see I wasn't completely satisfied with it.  Then two things happened in the same week - my sister told me she was trying out this new site feature Shutterfly offered, and a few days later my neighbor sent us a link to their new site which - you guessed it - was on Shutterfly.

I tried out Shutterfly and decided in minutes that this was my new website of choice!  Shutterfly Sites are just so awesome that it's almost hard to believe.

I just received my photo prints and book. They are excellent quality. I love them and will be making more books . The website is so easy to use and they ship so fast. I chose the standard shipping and received my orders 3 days later. I have never received my standard shippings earlier than 5 - 7 days. Great stuff!!

Poor photo quality in books

I've ordered prints and photo-cards from Shutterfly in the past, and they were good quality, on photo-quality paper. Unfortunately, that was not true of the photo books.

For our daughter's wedding, we had professional photographers who took very high-resolution photos. They look great in the photographers' proofs and on screen, but in the Shutterfly book, they are grainy and the colors are off in some photos.

Shutterfly does allow lots of design options, especially in the custom mode, but the end product looks cheap. Guess you get what you pay for. Plus, they cropped the cover photo differently from how we have it in the order, so that the bride and groom's heads are almost cut off.

I received a $20 coupon for Shutterfly with my child's school pictures. I ordered three items and used my coupon. My first two items were shipped fairly quickly, but the third was taking forever. I finally got a message saying order could not be fulfilled. My order price was adjusted but here's the thing, the third item was $20. So, I didn't pay for the item but didn't get my $20 off either. Technically I guess I wasn't ripped off, but it still feels that way. Customer service said this happened because I had a promo code for a shipping discount and I couldn't use two discounts. I understand but I should not have been able to place my order if this was the case, I should have been given the option of which discount I wanted to use, obviously I would have used the $20 discount since it was more. Actually, I probably would have just cancelled the order since they wanted $15 in shipping to ship a magnet and a tiny notebook.

Love the Ever Increasing Selection

I have been using Shutterfly for a few years now and what I love best about them is their ever increasing selection of products.  I love how they added collage features to the photo cards and calendars.  When my second daughter was born I made Thank you cards with three pictures instead of the usual one.  It was great because I could include a photo of my older daughter holding her newborn sister.  I've received three free Shutterfly calendars through different promotions.  Last year's had just one photo with a white background.  This year I was able to add backgrounds and multiple photos per page.  It came out great.

I have been using shutterfly for about 2 years now, I have purchased many products from them I love the ease of getting prints, photo cards and books and photo gifts.  I have sent gifts and cards to my family many times and everything has always been perfect! I have used other sites when I had free items but was disappointed with them.  I will only use shutterfly.

I recently made a photo book and fell in love with this site. I have used it before, but it has been awhile and they have upgraded it quite a bit. Everything was completely customizable! I was able to display things exactly the way I wanted. It was very intuitive to use. It only to a few moments to figure out exactly how to use the program and to find the items I was looking for. There is also a huge database of available backgrounds and embellishments to work with. I had so much fun tweeking my project that I would totally lose track of time while working on it. I totally recommend this photo site!

I love Shutterfly. I started using them about two years ago after a friend of mine told me about them.

I especially like the photo products that they offer. In the past 6 months I have made 3 photobooks. The quality of the books are wonderful. One of the books I made for my 7 yr old daughter from pictures that she took on a field trip. When I handed her the book she told me that it was the best present ever.

Unusable Wedding Cards

My husband and I ordered a stack of 4 x 8 wedding thank you cards of the style where the card is one flat rectangle and you write on the back of it. We were pleased with the quality of the image on the front (glossy photo quality), but when we flipped it over, "created at www.shutterfly.com" was stamped RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE of the card. There is no space to write any message without looking ridiculous because they had to put their brand right in the centre.

We ended up writing our messages onto pieces of note paper and cutting them to fit into the envelopes. Ironically, we had ordered this style of card to save on paper. Called and emailed their customer service and never received any reply. It's been four months.

This could be out of the ordinary for them, but it was a bad enough experience that I will never buy another product from Shutterfly.
