Too tough to remove tray - shouldn't have to bend plastic!

3

I had been using this product for only 6 months when the handle snapped when I was trying to remove the tray. You literally have to bed the plasic to remove the tray. I really do think that this is a design flaw on Dorell's part...

Just as good as a high chair without taking up too much room!

5

With my oldest daughter, my husband and I used a high chair.  It wasn't terrible, but it took up so much room in our dining room that I quickly decided that we needed something smaller.  After looking at a few items, we decided that a booster seat would be the best fit for her and for us.  We ended up buying the Safety 1st Deluxe Care Fold Up Booster seat.  It was a great choice!  The seat fit easily on one of our dining room chairs so it didn't take up any space in our dining room.  The booster seat had a tray on it so that I could put my daughter in the chair without having to worry about her wiggling every which way or possibly falling.  Having the removeable tray cover made clean up easy and convenient as well. My family and I travel a lot so being able to take her booster seat, fold it up, and pack it in the car was great!  I definitely couldn't have done that with a regular high chair.  And I could use the booster seat a lot longer than I could have used a high chair.  When my daughter got too big for the tray, we simply took it off and let her sit in her chair at the table with us. Ease of Cleaning It's so nice to just take the tray off and be able to wash it in the sink!

The Deluxe Care Fold Up Booster is perfect in every way!

5

The Deluxe Care Fold Up Booster is the greatest thing for my daughter. I didn't really want to buy both a high chair and a booster chair for my daughter so I thought I should probably pick one or the other. Since I knew she would grow out of a high chair and since my little girl is very curioius and likes to be where we are, I thought she'd rather sit at the table than removed in a high chair. I can not say enough good about this. It's the perfect height to feed her, it's not obnoxious colors in my kitchen and it makes my baby feel like she's right in the mix of things. She gets to be very much a part of dinner whithout being able to reach everything on the table which is good because if she could get her hands on it, she'd pull it all down. Also, the tray is dishwasher safe. That's really helpful because babies can be messy and I don't have to spend all kinds of time scrubbing it down. I can just put it in the dishwasher and move on to washing her face and hands off since that is plenty of work. It's also got adjustable heights and that means that it will grow with her. I'm so thrilled with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone who is on the fence.

Cheep, simple and easy

I believe that high chairs are something you can do without.  They are usually huge, take up lots of space and hard to clean.  I had a high chair, but it's now sitting in the washroom because I have no room for it in the kitchen.  Most people eventually need a booster seat anyway, so why not just use the booster for the baby too. I really like this booster because of its practicality.  It's simple; just the seat, the removeable tray and straps.  There are straps that fasten it to the back of a chair and ones that strap it to the seat of the chair.  There are straps in the seat that can change length as baby grows.  The feet on the chair have two positions to make it shorter or taller. The best part of the booster is the removeable tray.  It snaps on easily and comes off easily for cleaning.  My son loves his booster and claims it as his own.  It has been a very convenient chair for us to use.

Durable Booster Seat

3

I've had the Safety First Fold-Up Booster seat for years now and it has held up great. I love how it has two height settings to grow with your child, the tray has always been a bit difficult for me to snap on and remove easily so I rarely use it anymore. The straps are adjustable and the Safety First Booster has fit on most every chair that I have tried it on. It's also a nice feature that the straps can also be used to carry the Booster seat, which folds up quite nicely. The trays and seat wipes clean quite easily, but the straps are not removable and that has made them difficult to clean thoroughly. Also the holes where the straps come up through the seat also allow liquids to leak down to the chair below the Booster, that has led to some difficult messes to clean up. All in all, it has been a good Booster seat for us and is holding up great. I doubt we will find the need to purchase another booster at all in the future.

great for travel and more

We have had this chair for almost 8 years now. We got it with my first child, to use when we went to visit family. It is easy to fold and has a nice compartment to put bibs in etc. It has two straps that help to hold it to the chair. These straps can also be used for carrying the chair as well. The height of the chair adjusts so you can place the child  higher or lower depending  on how high the table is or the height of the caregiver in the chair next to the child. We mainly used this for travel with my first child and used a regular highchair for the kitchen. When we had our second child, the first was still in a highchair so we decided to purchase two of these folding seats and put them both in the kitchen to use on a daily basis. Since they attach to the chair, they take up much less space. These chairs have been across the country and back and have stayed in great condition. Would highly recommend!

Tray stays on, so your floor stays clean!

We love having a booster seat/ feeding chair as opposed to the traditional high chair.  It is so conventient that it fits on any chair and can be removed easily.  We can easily transport the booster seat for when we go over to a friend's house or family gathering. We just use the main tray and then clean it off after each use.  Since the tray is all one piece, it cleans up nicely.  One thing we like about this chair is that the tray is really hard for children to get off.  We have another booster seat that our children easily push the tray off (which means dinner is all over the floor).  The tray is difficult to get off, which keeps our kitchen floor cleaner.  The downside of a tough-to-remove tray is that it can even be difficult for adults to get off if you don't know just how to do it.  While we are used to it, it is tricky for friends to use when they come over.  Also, while the tray comes with the white removable tray, we have not found it helpful, as our kids will just take it off and dump it.  Another downside is that the straps to buckle the child in don't seem to be as long as other booster seat models, though a 40-lb 3 year old can still squeeze into it.

Safety 1st deluxe care fold up booster is a good value

3

I recieved the Safety 1st Deluxe Care Foldup Booster for a gift for my daughter.  It is a good value for the price.  The straps that connect it to the back and seat of the chair stay very tight, unlike many other seats  The seat is adjustable for 2 different levels which is a very nice feature.  I don't eer use the tray that came with it, we just push it up to the table.  It folds up rather nicely to take with you if you need.  I do wish that the straps that you put around the child were a little longer.  I have fairly small children and the straps are tight on them, so I can't imagine they would fit around an average size child.  Also there are rubbery bottoms in an attempt to keep wood chairs from getting scratched.  They do not work, so I always put something between the chair and the booster seat.  Overall a nice seat.

Great alternative to a standard high chair!

5

I used this booster seat with my son and I'm now using it with my daughter. We've also used the traditional high chair but I actually prefer to use this instead. We have pub table with barstools in our kitchen so when my kids were in a high chair they sat below everyone else. I like having the ability to strap this seat in any size chair and have it fit. There is one strap that goes under the chair and one that goes around the back and both are adjustable so that you can get a snug fit. I also love that this is all easy to wipe, plastic material. There aren't really any tricky cracks that are difficult to get food out of. If the straps get really messy, I take it in our yard and hose it off.  The tray fits in the dishwasher. I love being able to sanitize it in the dishwasher which I wasn't able to do with our high chair tray.  I plan on using this seat as a stand alone booster when my daughter will no longer fit in it with the tray on. I love that the seat has that flexibility.  My favorite thing about this seat is that it doesn't take up any extra room in my kitchen since it straps right into one of our existing chairs. No more high chair to scoot around in the kitchen. Yay!

Safety First Deluxe Fold up Booster is space saving!

4

The Safety First Deluxe Fold up booster seat is easy to use and space saving.  I use it instead of a regular highchair so that my kitchen is not overrun by a huge highchair.  This chair straps under the chair and behind the chair.  It is easy to unhook and take with you when traveling, or going out to eat.  One drawback is the tray is difficult to pop on and off.  It does come with a removeable tray that sits on top of the main tray so that it can go in the dishwasher.  My child though like to take off this top tray and throw it.  So we don't use it that often.  The back of the seat lifts up and then folds down for portability.  If you hook the straps, you can use it as an over the shoulder carrier.  I have used this since my son was able to sit up on his own and begin to eat.  He is now 17 months old and still fits comfortably in the seat.  It does have straps so the child stays safe as well.  Overall, it is a small, portable, easy to use alternative to a highchair to save space!
