I am a first time parent and had to make the major decision on whether or not to use a pacifier on my daughter. The hospital she was born in recommended against the use of pacifiers because they claimed that since I started out breastfeeding, my daughter would get the pacifier an breast confused. I went against the hospital's recommendations after a really stressful night of trying to soothe my newborn daughter in every other possible way and I have never been sorry. I didn't breastfeed very long because of nonrelated issues, but I can definitely say that this pacifier did not confuse her in the slightest. I have actually found that for the longest time, playtex was the only brand of pacifier my daughter would use. I think this has to do with the way they fit her mouth. Platex pacifiers are truly a Godsend because you can't  throw a bottle in the baby's mouth every time she cries and these pacifiers still allow her to suck on something so she can soothe herself to sleep. The only problem I have found with these pacifiers is that is they are used continuously over a long period of time, the nipple gets sticky.

This Playtex pacifier is the only one my son would take. He still uses it to this day at night at a little over 2. When he was young he would not take any pacificer except this one. I initially bought this because of it's shape and I thought it would be good for his future teeth. Once I bought it, he wouldn't take anything else. I tried four or five other brands and he wouldn't even put them in his mouth more than a couple seconds. He really liked how these felt in his mouth. I like that they are orthodonically ok. This is one of the reasons I am still letting him sleep with them at night. I had to get braces because I sucked my thumb and I think this pacifier is a lot better than sucking thumbs. I am so glad they came out with them. They are very cheap to buy and last forever. I also like that they came with a little cup that you can use to steam them clean. Makes me feel like the pacifier is getting sterilized well.

my baby love this product and most of all i love it because it doesnt bother her teeth that will be forming soon and that makes me very happy to all the moms out ther use this product and u will see the difference between this one and the other trust me you will love it.

I know there are many debates going on about whether or not pacifiers are good for babies or not. I am not sure who's winning, but all I know is that my son for the first little while didn't even want to take them! Now that he's teething he uses this to chomp on, like its a teething toy, then he'll use it as a pacifier and soothe himself. I won't complain because it helps him calm down, it soothes him and when he doesn't want it anymore he just spits it out. Luckily for me he doesn't always look for it when he is going to bed or taking a nap so unlike other mothers out there, I don't think this will be too hard of a habit for me to have to break. I like them because they will not impede the growth of my boys teeth, the fir his mouth area perfectly (not too big) and of course they are so cheap! I have found them everywhere, and usually on sale so I never  have to worry about losing them because I can buy more!

We had despaired of ever getting the little one to use a pacifier.  We had gotten some of the newborn ones in various brands, but nothing we gave her would she use.  I don't remember how I came across the Playtex Ortho Pro pacifiers, but those were what she had been waiting for.  She totally skipped over using the 0-3 month ones, though, and went straight for the big girl pacifiers.  And man, did she love her pacifier.  When we misplaced one and had to use another brand, she would fuss and wouldn't take it until we got the Playtex Ortho Pro back.  We eventually discovered the wonderful pacifier keepers that attach to the baby's clothes, and that was wonderful for us!  No more lost pacifiers!  No more frantic hunting for pacifiers!  It was absolutely amazing.  So next time, I'm skipping over those other brands and going straight for the Playtex Ortho Pro pacifiers, AND I'm going to make sure that I have plenty of pacifier keepers to hold onto them with so they do not get lost.

The Playtex Ortho Pro Sillicone Pacifier is the only pacifier my baby will use.  He started out preferring the Soothies, but one day would not take them.  Someone had given us a bunch of different pacifiers, including the Ortho Pro, at a baby shower, so we tried them all.  He would not taken any of them except the Ortho Pro.  He loves it!  I like that it is better for his mouth than other pacifiers.  I was worried about other pacifiers being bad for the alignment of his teeth, but I trust that this one will be okay.  Another thing that I like about it is that ours came with a sanitizing cover, but I am not sure if all of them do.  It is great to use as just a cover so that it does not get germs on it when he is not using it, but it is also a great way to be able to sanitize his pacifier.  You just add water to the cap and microwave for two minutes.  I would use any pacifier that he would take, but I like this one better than all the others.

I was given the Playtex Ortho Pro Baby Pacifier for my baby shower.  It was actually the first pacifier I had given to my daughter.  After I had tried to give her other pacifiers she only seemed to like the Ortho Pro.  Till this day it's the only one she uses.  I love how the nipple is shaped differently.  I guess it's to fit in the childs mouth better.  It also has these little bumps on the handle which helps the baby out when they begin teething.  They come in all different cool colors.  Sometimes, I can match the pacifier to a specific outfit.  My daughter loves it.  Not only does she use it as a pacifier, but when she sees it sometimes she'll just pick it up and start to play with it.  The price isn't as bad as I would have expected it to be either.  They rinse well and they're also pretty sturdy.  One of the best things about it also is that they don't normally make a mark on her face from all the sucking.  I'd definitely recommend to moms.
