Peapod.com Review

Hi, Everyone!

I just have to say something wonderful about a wonderful merchant -- Peapod Online Grocery.  Aside from everything else, the Peapod website is fascinating and easy to use.  Peapod is a godsend to those of us who don't drive and makes life easier even for those of us who do have private transportation.  Especially, Peapod fills an important need for people who are recovering from surgeries or other medical treatment or simply have a difficult time getting out to shop for other reasons.

Peapod offers nearly everything that you can find at the best supermarket, plus a lot of other stuff -- excellent heat-and-eat soups, side dishes, casseroles, and entrees -- to say nothing of an excellent line of fresh bakery items and produce to be proud of, carefully selected and packed.  The only produce disappointment I ever experienced was a half pint of raspberries which had begun to spoil as is often the case with raspberries at the supermarket.  The spoilage could not be viewed from the outside and so Peapod had shipped them to me without realizing the problem but all it took was a phone call from me to get full credit for the spoiled item.   

Aside from this one problem, I have been more than satisfied with this excellent service.  To save money, I use one "stock-up" order a month of $100 or more for a delivery fee of $6.95, which is more than offset by special Peapod promotions, discounts, aggressive sales prices, and occasional free deliveries.  I also am able to use manufacturers' coupons more efficiently and to greater advantage.
