I have two of these in my fridge. At first I was thinking about buying one large one, however it would take up a lot of fridge space and would be too heavy when full. These were inexpensive and the filters are relatively cheap and last 3 months each. When my city put in a new chlorine treatment you could smell it, let alone taste it, and the filter took all of that away. No problems with them, easy to clean and use. I see why they removed the indicator light when they changed the design though, mine did not work for very long.

First, the one I bought says it will purify 5 cups of water. It doesn't. Only about 4 cups and a bit more. Second, after about half the water goes into the pitcher it stops. To be fair, for the first couple of days all of it did filter and it took about 2 hours. Now, after 2 weeks I have to pull the the filtering container out and put it crosswise on the pitcher for the water to filter. I am not impressed. I was told I should go buy a new filter as this one sounds clogged. It is supposed to last 90 days, not 14. It is easy to use, easy to clean and the water tastes fresh with no after taste. I do think a filtration device is needed in most places. I use the water for cooking as well as coffee and have noticed an appreciable difference in the taste of my morning coffee which is very nice. All that being said, I do like the taste of tap water better with this. So, I think I will buy one that attaches to the faucet as we do drink a lot of water.

The Pur water filtration system 5 cup pitcher really makes the city water taste like expensive bottled water. However, I have to give Pur the thumbs down on the pitcher's design. It's narrow base makes it prone to falling over and the lid is way too lose and constantly falls off. It requires two hands just to pour a glass of water.

I recently had to replace this pitcher because it just always seemed to find a way for the top to pop off while I was using it, even when new. It was annoying to constantly be wiping up water that spilled from the top of the reservoir. I also didn't like the shape very much, it didn't seem to be very stable. Additionally, I like to see the color of the water in the pitcher, the blue hue to the plastic felt like a cover-up mechanism to me. I replaced with a Brita and am very satisfied now.

I like this and have been using it a lot, but I just don't know if it's really working at making the water any more "pure". It's really hard to tell cause the water just tastes like... water... there's no difference that I can tell. However, I do like having a water pitcher with cool water in the refrigerator and the thought of having cleaner water to drink, assuming that the filter is really doing its job correctly. You just refill the top with your tap water from the kitchen and the water slowly gets filter through the filter tube in the middle of the pitcher. It's really simple to use. The filter does have to be replaced every other month or so though, there's nothing that tells you when the filter is no longer effective so you just have to kinda follow that guide line it provides.

We moved to an old house where the tap water did not taste as good as the tap water at our previous residence. So I shopped around for an easy and inexpensive solution to this problem. I looked at several pitchers on the market before finally deciding on Pur. The design was simple and the lovely blue colors were what attracted me to the pitcher in the first place. The price was a little cheaper than other brands as well. This little pitcher fits right into our fridge and does not take up much space while holding more than enough water for 2 adults (a tea drinker and a coffee drinker) and 2 pets. Its slim design means that you do not have to sacrifice space in your refridgerator in order to have filtered water. The pitcher can even fit in the door of your fridge! The water that we get from this pitcher is always free of particles, smells, and flavors. It is simply pure water. I would recommend this pitcher if you are an apartment-dweller or just have a small fridge.

 The only reason I even got the PUR CR-6000 2 Stage Oval Water Pitcher was because my wife said she drink water all the time if she knew it was filtered. She usually drinks nothing but diet dr pepper so it owuld save money on buying that stuff if she did switch to the filtered water.  I thought it be good for me too since I only drink tap water and probably could do without the stuff that is in the tap water. I think she stopped drinking in after the first week with no explanation other than she needed the caffiene from the diet dr pepper. I kept using maybe for a month but did not notice any real difference between the way the water tasted out of it and regular tap water. So luckily the kids still use it now and then but they tend to drink all the water and then leave the pitcher empty thinking someone else will fill it. I ain't drinking it so I not filling it. So pretty much ended up being a waste of money. I am almost tempted to keep filling so the kids drink it just so I do not feel I wasted the money. Save your money and just drink tap water it wont kill you any faster than anything else.

i bought this water pitcher a few weeks back to replace a Brita pitcher i have had for years. after the brita pitcher broke ( the 2year old accidently knocked it off the dining room table) i quickly realized our family goes through about 4 cases of bottled water a month without it. not only was i spending way more money but i hate lugging that much water up a flight and a half of stairs before i even get in the house. this pitcher has been an amazing replacement my only concern is the top doesnt seem to stay on as well as my previous water pitcher. the shape is also a little funky, but other than that its great. i like the led display and it makes our tap water which has a very distinct chlorine smell and taste, seem better than bottled water. i will most likely purchase a second pitcher within the next few weeks as i feel i am always re-filling this thing. 7-cups isnt quite big enough for us.

Pur Water pithcher is satisfaction of pure water in home... I purchased it during 2 months back n it's working fine and taste of water is also good.It's price is also reasonable as compare to similar other pitcher which were costlier. It's weight ans shape is also good enough. overrall I would say it's a good deal in compare to buying costlier pitcher of similar measurement.

Didn't think I would like it but my daughter talked me into getting one and now I wish I would have gotten it sooner. our water taste so much better, I have stopped buying bottle water all together. I think this would make a great christmas present for family members this year.
