Overall I liked this machine. I definitely feel like the positives outweigh the negatives by a big margin. I liked that this was smaller than most elliptical machines. I don't have a lot of space for exercise equipment so smaller is better for me. The Orbitrek Elite is quiet so you can easily watch television while using it. It doesn't require any electricity so there are no cords to worry about either. It has wheels on the front so it can be tilted and easily moved from one spot to another. I kind of wish they swiveled though because I mostly needed to move it from side to side, not forward and backward. Performance For the price, this worked very well. One of the foot pieces broke and I later heard that it was some kind of manufacturer defect that had been recalled. However I bought a different elliptical when that happened. Comfort This was pretty comfortable, though my knees have been getting progressively worse and I think the machine I replaced this one with is easier on them.

I purchased the Oribtrek Eliptical machine years ago and loved it.  I was able to customize the workout to my personal needs.  The machine is so easy to use.  You just stand on the pedals and use a walking or running motion, depending on your fitness level and how much of a workout you want.  It's like a stationary bike, only you stand instead of sit.  It also comes with a video which shows you how to get started and gives you a good twenty minute workout.  I feel like it gives me a greater workout because my legs are carrying my weight while I workout, but it is also easy on my joints.  You can also lock the handrails into the motion position and give your arms a workout as well.  Or, if you prefer, you can lock them into the stationary position and just let your legs do all the work.   When I became pregnant I had complications and could no longer work out, and I needed the space for my daughter's crib, so I had to sell my Orbitrek.  As soon as I moved into my new house and had more space I bought a new one.  It takes up only a small amount of space in my living room and is easy to move around.  My Orbitrek is perfect for days when the weather will not permit an outside workout, or when I have a short amount of time and can't go anywhere.  I would highly recommend this product to most anyone.  The only downside I have found is that people with knee problems might not be able to use it.  My husband has arthritis in his knees and says that using the Orbitrek causes him pain in his knees.  Definitely check with your doctor before buying any equipment or performing any kind of exercise.

True Cardiovascular, Upper/Lower Body Workout Approximately three years ago while shopping on e-Bay I was searching for an Eliptical Machine to provide me with cardiovascular exercise at home when going to the gym was not an option.  It was then that I come across a person who was selling a Orbitrek Plantinum Eliptical Machine and the cost was extremely intriguing. The Orbitrek Platinum is a great machine for cardiovascular exercise and brings with it the additional benefit of both upper and lower body exercise, toning, and muscle building.  I belong to my towns local YMCA, but at times I find it difficult to get there to exercise and having an Eliptical in my apartment makes it easy to get in the needed 30 minutes of cadiovascular exercise needed to ensure a healthy lifestyle. The Orbitrek Platinum has a high rating for both in home models and gym quality models.  The company stands behind their product as I became familiar with when one of the nuts that hold the pedal in place on my Eliptical became stripped from overuse.  I wrote an e-mail to the company and for a very reasonable price sent me the needed parts to make my Eliptical whole again. It doesn't matter if you are a full-time athlete or just a person who is looking for a great workout that will help them feel good through the release of endorphins in the blood or just provide the average person with a great workout when it is difficult to go to a gym or if your budget does not provide enough money to join a gym.  The Orbitrek Platinum is an inexpensive way to get in your exercise at a great price.  The company often runs specials in which you can pay for your equipment over time.   As for me I will never regret the day that I got my Orbitrek Platinum.  Of all purchases I have ever made whether it be in a department store or on-line my Orbitrek Platinum Eliptical is #1. I enjoy strength training the most, but for the MUST-NEEDED cardio, I love my ORBITREK... There are many models, all of which are affordable and GREAT workout! I work out regularly but still find myself covered in sweat and out of breath after 20 minutes! The adjustable resistence is nice, and the modest display is helpful, but I don't use it much. I just watch my favorite 30minute show and alternate forward w/ backwards (during commercials).

I LOVE this machine.  It is lightweight, easy to assemble and moved around.  It has wheels on the front where you can tilt it forward and roll it anywhere in the house. I have FMS and RA, so I am limited to the exercises I can do now.  It is with this machine that I am able not only to get an aerobic workout but one that is so easy on my joints that it causes no extra pain to what is already there.  If you have a disability that makes it hard to walk long distances or like to exercise inside this is for you.  The price is good for the quality of machine.  I have had mine for a year, and no problems.  My grandkids all use it when they come over, so it benefits kids also.  Take the time and invest in your health.  You need to move to be able to keep moving.  This unit works your heart, lungs, legs, abs, arms, core and glutes.  You cannot ask for a more through workout that doesn't kill you with impact. Using this with swimming has helped me maintain a good physical fitness regime.

I first bought this elliptical machine about 30 days ago.  I started using the very next day.  I have a bad knee and I am awaiting knee replacement surgery, within the next six months.  This machine is very low impact on my knees.  Even though it is not hard to do I actually feel like I have excercised when I am finished.  My legs are becoming stronger, which they need to be for my surgery.  I have also lost about ten pounds in the last month.  I plan on losing more before my actual surgery date.  This is the best exercise I get.  I wish I would have gotten this machine years ago.  I wouldn't give it up for the world.
