The best way of eating

I truly  enjoyed reading the information in this book. I have been gluten free for some time now.  So after reading this book I decided to go grain free.  I am totally on track with this no-grain diet.  This diet really works.  You will lose weight.  I am currently grain free now and loving it.  I do enjoy eating a lot of vegetables daily like the book says to. This book is on the right track.  My mind feels so clear after going grain free.  My skin appears to be healthier and my nails are long and strong.  My body is in great shape.  I have so much energy now too. I survived through this horrible winter season without any illness too.  I find that as long as I am satisfied with the food and it's easy to prepare then I will follow the guidelines and lose the weight.  I have no problem following this diet.   You will crave the grains for a while. So my tip is to keep snacks in the refrigerator.  A raw no grain apple pie is much better than a plain apple. You will be happy you tried this diet.    Side Effects What out for those flax seeds.

This No-Grain Diet Is A Must For People Who Can Not Resist Carbs

4

The No-Grain Diet is a healthy way to lose weight. It is easy to follow too. This is a great diet for me. I can't stay away from foods with lots of carbs in them. It helps me resist carbs when I am emotional as well. When I am upset I like to eat foods with carbs in them because they taste so good. Carbs are a distraction to my problems. I love vegetables and on this diet I can eat organic ones. I get to eat quality protein on this diet as well. It is important that I do "not" eat foods with starches and sweets in them. However, I get to eat fruit but not a lot of it. I didn't know that refined grains of any type are bad for me. I'm glad I know now. This diet focuses on (EFT). EFT is code for "Emotional Freedom Technique". You will learn all about it, if you try this diet. This diet recommends that you get a good night sleep because that will help reduce your cravings. This book has a lot of no-grain recipes, which are tasty. I like the price of this book because you get a lot of good information. It is easy to read and follow the diet. If you want to eat less carbs, try this no-grain diet.

Works If You Stick With It

The No-Grain Diet was the hardest challenge for me ever. Breads and pastas have always been my favorite foods so when I started the No-Grain Diet it was extremely hard for me to get used to. I did however follow the diet and stayed on track for almost two months before I gave up. On this particular diet plan you can eat basically all of the fruits and vegetables that you want along with really large servings of meat and beans. I do have to say that the No-Grain diet will work for you and does change your way of eating. You will learn how to fill up on healthy foods instead of empty calorie and carb foods. I myself do enjoy bread and pasta so it wasn't for me. I tried cooking with the no grain flours and other items, but just didn't suit my taste. I did however, lose 10 pounds while following the program for two months. I think that anyone who has great will power could have amazing results with the No-Grain Diet. I would recommend this program to anyone.

Great read, great lifestlye

I love the concept of this diet, beating the carbohydrate cravings! People are caught up in the carb world eating too many breads and pastas, and I believe that these foods make you super bloated and bring down your energy level! Beginning this diet is tough because for me every meal has some sort of carb or grain in it, oatmeal in the morning, toast at lunch, and breaded chicken for dinner. You have to change your whole meal plan in order to structure this around your all ready grain diet. No cereal, no bread, no pasta, not nothing with grain. Your pretty much going to be a person who is allergic to gluten, on the plus side this diet helped me lose a couple of pounds, it's hard to stick to because grain is found everywhere and it is an easy meal to make, otherwise if you want to lose weight from this diet it is not a bad idea. Side Effects There are no side effects. Ease of Use Some what difficult to change your life around to not eating any grain.

I have been unhappy with the way my body has been feeling lately. I have felt sluggish and tired and just a general feeling of unwell. All of my tests came back fine from the doctor, so I turned to any & all of the diet books I could find to learn more about food & nutrition. I agree with some of The No-Grain Diet's messaging. After reading about grains in this book (& then doing some extensive research on my own about why grains were bad for you) I removed all grain from my diet. I went gluten free & gave up a lot of the processed foods I normally ate because the majority of them contain grains. I am vegan as well, so the mentions of eating meat in the book didn't sit well with me but I agree with the messaging that grains are bad & causing numerous health problems & weight gain. I even lost 10 pounds from cutting out the gluten & white potatoes from my diet & I don't feel deprived at all. I don't pay attention to calories anymore & I eat whatever I want (within my vegan/gluten free limitations) without having to worry about gaining weight & having to "diet." Like all health books out there, I recommend reading this one & then doing your own research before you implement it in your life! Ease of Use Changing your diet is not easy! It is a lifestyle choice & it takes lots of effort & work, but it is worth it!!

Diet works, but don't know about long-term results

I tried eating according to this plan for several weeks. I noticed that my energy level remained very constant (no tiredness/heavy feeling or hyper feeling) and I always felt satiated. I ate mostly meat, vegetables, beans, and fruits. I also tried baking grain-free stuff with almond flour and coconut flour. I liked being on this diet, but I did find myself craving pasta and bread. Not all the time, and the craving wasn't intolerable, but I did miss those foods out of habit. I eventually moved on since I like those foods, and found that this diet requires more food prep/cooking from scratch since it is difficult to avoid grains in store-bought or deli food. It made those after work dinners harder to make!

You can lose weight, if only you can stay away from carbs,

**The** **No Grain Diet **by Dr. Joseph Mercola (Dutton, 2003) is a book that details how you can lose weight by completely cutting carbs out of your diet....at least temporarily. Dr. Mercola describes our cravings for carbs as an addiction. He offers solid advice and practical application for carbohydrate addicts. He doesn't just state the obvious and leave you to figure out the details on your own.**The No Grain Diet **is packed with helpful tips on tapping into your health, getting a good night's sleep, how to overcome emotional eating, troubleshooting your weight loss program and no-grain recipes. The good things about **The No Grain Diet **is that it goes into great detail about how to handle your emotions when you stop using carbs as a crutch. I have tried many times to cut carbs from my diet and I can rarely make it past that 72-hour time-frame of withdrawal symptoms and wanting to fix the ill feelings by eating carbs.I've read the book and now I'm going to give **The No Grain Diet **a try. I have not had good luck in the past when i tried giving up carbs, but I am looking forward to using the techniques described in this book to ease the cravings and make dieting a more pleasurable experience.
