They have marketed this product really well, and they do that to hide the fact that it is just an average soap. First of all, it is not organic, although this brand makes a lot of organic stuff. It is however, priced like an organic product. It smells great, it lathers well, but leaves skin dry and is way too harsh.

A few months back, I found a great deal on Nature's Gate liquid soap in a refreshing scent-Pomegranate Sunflower. I love the way it smells - fruity, but not too fruity. I love the way it lathers- oh the bubbles!! My son loves all the bubbles it makes for him to play with and they last for a long time in the bath.  That should have tipped me off that something was not right.  This morning in the shower, I was looking at the bottle and noticed that the front says "Paraben free" but there were lots of hard to pronounce ingredients on the back. Looking it up on cosmeticdatabase.com, this soap has a rating of 5! That is the same rating as the petroleum based liquid soap that I made my husband stop using.  Granted, the Nature's Gate is never tested on animals and it is biodegradable and the other soap has lots of hard to pronounce ingredients, but I had expected a better rating than the petroleum based soap.   I will be looking for a new soap...
