Tried this to avoid prescription costs
have high cholesterol, family history of high cholesterol, health conscious

My cholesteral reading was at 269 last time I went in and my Dr. was having a fit.  Before putting me on a prescription though he wanted me to try diet and a few natural alternatives.  I take this along with fish oil, and red rice yeast capsules. I went back  one month later and my cholesteral had dropped to 229...still too high of course but much better than the 269.  I also have been very careful to cut out a lot of things that were a regular part of my diet, like half and half in my coffee, an occasional donut and I never fry anything anymore so all of this in combo with the plant sterols... review »

Nature Made Cholestoff has made a significant impact in lowering my cholesterol.  Made from Plant Stanols, it can be taken easily with other medications (o.t.c. and prescription).  As with any supplement, it's best to consult your family physician and pharmacist before beginning any supplemental treatment.  The supplement is affordable.  It is recommended to take 2 tablets 15 to 30 minutes prior to eating.  It is flavorless and easy to swallow.  It lowered my cholesterol 30% which resulted in my being allowed to avoid prescriptions for high cholesterol.
