Just tried these bottles and I am so glad I did! My son was nursed and when we used bottles they were the avent ones. I tried starting him on sippy cups at 9 months and he wouldnt even touch them. He cried when he saw one. Even the ones made by avent that simply are interchangeable from nipple/spout using the same bottle base. At 12 months his pedi warned me he really needed to be off the bottle. Knowing she would see him in another three months I bought a sippy almost every week and gave it a solid try for week. I know have 14 different sippy cups stashed in the very tops of my cabinets. Finally at 14 MONTHS he is off the bottle! He loves the handles on these he carried it around instantly. After 30 minutes of playing with it he was drinking from it like a champ. No more bottles just in time for his pedi too. These bottles are cute and easy to clean. I love that the handles are so easy to put on ,unlike others that require you to line them up with the spout. Plus it seems hard to find a sippy that still has measurments on the side. Have not had any problems with leaks yet. Some of the other sippys I tried leaked just when shaking them while mixing a drink or laying on it's side. He has several teeth and has yet to bite through this spout. Also they sell replacement spouts. Highly recommend to anyone who is having similar problems. The only thing I dont care for about this product is the price and not all stores carry them.

When my daughter was born, I started using the NUK bottles when I would give her a bottle (it was about a 70/30 of breast feeding/bottle). As she gradually weened off of breast feeding, I also started gradually adding rice cereal to her bottle to help fill her up a little more. She was having a hard time with the "centered" nipples but wouldn't take a sippy cup. I saw this style "sippy cup" but with a soft spout for her, and she absolutely loved it! It was so easy to ween her completely, and also easy for her to transition to a sippy cup so she feels like a big girl! My son, who is 9 months, is now using the same style nipple on his bottles and loves it! I couldn't imagine not having that style of nipple to go with bottles for him. He is advanced for his age, so we started him on the "sippy cup" style nipple when he was about 6 months old, whereas my daughter was about 8 months old when we transitioned to it for her.

The only issue I have is the price! And the price isn't even that bad! My daughter loves her sippy. She was nursed/bottle fed while I was away and around 10-ish months we introduced the sippy to her. It took a little while, but she loved it! Great product, has lots of fun designs, versatile as she now likes to use it without the handles.

We always used the Nuk brand when it came to my daughter. So I decided that this would be a great cup to train my daughter with when the time came. The spout is silicone and similar to the bottle nipple she was used to and the handles were great for learning also. She picked it up and learned in no time but the bad part about it was she figured out how to make it leak and come out with out drinking from it and it makes a terrible mess, but that's the only think that I didn't like about it.
