We upgraded our old 23 year old system, not because it had quite working, but because it would run constantly.  Our energy bills were going through the roof.  After reviewing a few systems this central unit put out by Maytag was the one with the best rating for the money.  Along with being an energy star product this system comes with a 12 year parts and labor warranty.  That in itself is a  huge savings in the future.  Normal yearly service cleaning is not covered but all else will be.  Along with the purchase came a one year free service contract for cleaning service.   This unit runs quitely and cycles regularlly.  What a joy this is to hear the thermostat kick on and off and not to stress out because it will not kick off.  The old unit had a window unit going to help relieve the load and still had trouble kicking off.  This summer even with temps in the high nineties we have not had to run the window unit.  Needless to say our electricity bill has dramatically dropped.   We are very pleased with this Maytag system and the difference it has made in our home enviroment.
