Disappointing Experience: Macy's Furniture and Worry No More

1

Hey Follow Consumers, heads up on Macy's Furniture and their WORRY NO MORE Warranty—don't fall for it! I want to share a cautionary experience to save you some trouble. Steer clear of their WORRY NO MORE Warranty. It might sound like a safety net, but let me tell you They promise to repair or replace if anything goes wrong with your furniture that's under the warranty guidelines, but in reality, it's NOT True. Here's the deal: they'll ask for pics and videos when you file a claim, but when you do everything they ask, they'll turn around and deny your claim.Saying it's not cover but it is because it's on the pamphlet they give you, but the deny it anyway and tell you to take it up with the other department. It's a frustrating runaround where they shift responsibility from one department to another, leaving you stuck in the middle. They might even claim your warranty is void because you got a discount, due to the several issues you encounter with damaged items and missed delivered dates. Yep, the same discount meant to compensate for the issues you had with your original purchase. And the real kicker? If they canceled your warranty, why didn't they refund the $499 right when you received the discount? Instead, they wait until you need the warranty, and suddenly it's a problem. They conveniently wait until you need and submit for repairs to drop the bomb that your warranty is canceled. It's like they're more interested in pocketing your hard-earned cash than standing by their warranty. It's a shady game, and it feels like they just want your money without delivering on their promises. Consider this a friendly heads-up: Macy's and their upcharge Worry No More Warranty? Not worth it. Save your hard-earned money for something more reliable and trustworthy. Trust me, it's a complete letdown—they won't honor the warranty when you need it most. I wouldn't recommend Macy's or their sketchy warranty to anyone. It's not protection; it's a complete scam. Don't fall for it!

Lied about Black Friday

1

I bought two Apple Watch 3 Nike on Black Friday. A lot of stores were offering the same pricing and I chose Macys. Two weeks later they now tell me they are not in stock and cannot tell me when they will be but did know that it would not be by Christmas. I asked to honor Black Friday pricing on another I watch and they told me no. Now It is an additional $90 everywhere in store and I had purchased two. They basically sold me items they do not have and would do nothing to make up for their mistake. Their mistake is costing me close to $200. I will not give Macys another penny.

I will never shop Macy's again

I purchased $200 worth of men's apparel at Macy's for Christmas for my son, and he attempted to return/exchange the items. THEY WOULDN'T HONOR A SINGLE ITEM. You unethical rip-offs need to be taken down by customers who have patronized you for decades. Well, no more. Please join me!

Buyer Beware

1

Buyer Beware!!! I had looked in several stores before I chose Macy's. I chose them as I though they had a good reputation concerning the furniture they sold. WOW, was I fooled. I recently purchased a couch and lounge. I was not informed by the salesman that it was made in China or I had three days to return the purchase if not satisfied without a 15% restocking fee. The furniture I received smelled of chemicals for a few days, my arms have developed a rash due to contact with the fabric, the couch seats sink in the back. I went back to Macy's 5 days later 10/23/17 to sit in the floor model. I spoke to a helpful salesman, who informed me that the piece was made in China! The floor model is quite different then the one I received. He told me to call Customer Service. I called Customer Service and they are sending a teck out to looked at the furniture on 10/27/17. If they find the furniture defective Macy's will take it back without a fee. Well either way I will pay to get the toxic furniture out of my place. Be sure to ask these two questions - Where was it made and how long is the return policy before I have to pay a restocking fee. If its from China - rethink your purcha

Order did not process

1

I submitted an order for their July Black Friday special going on. For some odd reason the order did not go through. I received no confirmation of my order but I had submitted all my info and paypal email address and password. The following day I checked my email and still never received a confirmation. Turns out for some reason the order just didn't get processed. Normally I wouldn't be upset at this but all the prices on everything in my cart went back to full price. I called customer service and was told their was nothing they could do. I was just out of luck

I like the selections they have as far as sizes. They are the only store (locally) that carries an amazing size selection.Which is great because no many stores carries every size in every design. They do have some great styles and it's a affordable price. But, they also have some styles that remind me of my grandmother. Not many styles in my local Macy's for young people. But if you go online you'll find an amazing selection of younger styles and trends. There's always a nice pleasant staff in every Macy's I have visited. It's always easy to find what you're looking for. Online they break everything down in several categories and if you're in store activewear is in one area, certain designed shirts are in one area...in other words even their stores are in categories. You can typically find a great sale. They already have great prices, but they frequently have sales to save you extra money. Plus there's numerous coupons that you can use at Macy's online and in store. I would definately reccomend this store to anyone. I love the quality of their clothing, their sales, and the set up of their stores and their websites. Don't forget to get yourself a rewards card!

I would shop here again

I was shopping at every clothing store I could think of looking for a decent outfit for my grandfather's funeral. The problem I had with the other big brand clothing stores was the quality and the fit of their clothing. I do not want skin tight clothing, transparent tops, short skirts, or something that is going to fall apart after one wash. And I found exactly what I was looking for at Macy's. I stumbled upon one of their big sales by accident. I ended up getting more than one outfit. They have a huge selection from athletic, plus size, juniors, and so many styles. I ended up getting to outfits from there and my items were up to 80% off!!! Who doesn't like a good sale? The store was very easy to navigate through and many different sizes for each product. Very friendly staff and big dressing rooms. I hate trying to change in a small space and really no room to put the clothes you've just tried on. I would recommend anyone to check this store out. I just a little over a hundred dollars for two outfits, that's pretty cheap. I can't wait to go back and hopefully I can find another sale that is as good as the one I stumbled on.

Prefer shopping in store

4

I love shopping at Macys, mostly because they have such quality items for such reasonable prices. In addition to that, the selection of items covers a wide variety - you can get anything from home goods to clothing. I personally prefer shopping in a Macys store compared to shopping online at Macys.com, but their website is fairly easy to manage and overall it is well organized. Everything I have ordered from Macys has come in great condition within a standard waiting time, so I have not had to deal with customer service but in store, all of the workers I have interacted with have been very friendly and helpful and have always tried to find me coupons to save money. Overall, I do highly recommend Macys to people who are looking for higher end products for a reasonable price.

Macy's is not on my shopping list!

1

I've never shopped in Macy's - the store is simply not appealing - I just walk through sometimes when I am "mall walking" I just tried to call a department (supposedly open at 7am this morning) the telephone system itself is awkward - constantly having to pick a number - waaaay too involved. Of course nobody answered in the men's department, someone who spoke poor English tried another number - nobody there either. Why would I want to go to the store? Oh for the days of my youth, small stores, friendly owners and salespeople. Bigger ain't better!
