Comments about MAC Mean & Green Nail Polish from Venomous Villains Collection:

When MAC announced their future collection of Venomous Villains as a collaboration with Disney, I was not impressed. In fact, nothing in the collection seemed interesting to me- until the photos of the products came in,  In the Venomous Villains Collection there are four sub collections.  One of these sub collections is called Maleficent.  In MAC Maleficent there is a trio of holographic style (3D) nail polish which are stunning and really fun to wear.

MAC Mean & Green Nail Polish is one of my favorite nail polish colors of all time.  It comes in a clear bottle with rubberized lid and contains 10 ml of polish.  The color is a gorgeous chianti wine color that shifts to forest green,  and burnished bronze.  The color shift is really outstanding and very fascinating to look at- I keep staring at it!

MAC Mean & Green is a bit thinner in consistency than MAC Bad Fairy nail polish is.  I found that three coats were necessary, but they go on very nicely and dry quickly- as quickly as two coats of Orly nail polish.

The longevity of MAC Mean & Green so far after 24 hours of testing has been good- no chipping or peeling yet, and I have been using my hands to do a lot.  I did not use a top coat or base coat with MAC Mean & Green as many formulas similar to this will change chemically and bond with base or top coats and peel of in one piece.

I will check that in the future.  The removal is a bit more challenging than cream nail polish, but MUCH easier than removing glitter polish.  So far, no staining or problems with removal at all.  It just takes a little more time and effort than a cream polish to remove.

I do want to mention here that MAC Mean & Green is very very simlar to Orly Space Cadet which was also recently released as a fall collection.  You get almost double the polish in a bottle for almost half the price.

The particles in the MAC are a little finer, and the base polish color is darker forest green as well as being a bit thinner, but appearance wise on the nails they are almost identical.

MAC Mean & Green Nail Polish can be purchase online at www.maccosmetics.com, at MAC counters, MAC stores and MAC Pro stores.  You can also purchase at www.nordstrom.com and www.macys.com

Hurry if you want this, because they are flying out the door.  This is truly unique and worth having for sure!
