Not often do you find elegance in the shape of a speaker coupled with great performance.  These speakers deliver both in three different color schemes (cherry, blond and black) and are the most crisp and reliable speakers for both listening to music and watching movies.  I have the two stand-alones without surround sound, but angled correctly they can fill a big room to the top with great sound no problem. It doesn't take an expensive amp to make them sing, and I have mine with their floor pegs in and anchored in hockey pucks to save my hardwood floors.  The difference in the bass sound once lifted off the floor is amazing. The only problem with them being so tall and thin is a tendency to wobble alarmingly when bumped while they are on their pegs (not speakers for a kid or pet-filled house) but other than that they deliver every time.   Bought used these speakers can be quite affordable, and if the previous owners have taken care of them then you're in for a beautiful looking and sounding set of speakers.
