We have had this fridge since 2001, it is excellent. The only problem we have is the water is not getting pumped to the ice maker and have purchased a replacement part to install. Overall a great fridge, it still looks nice on the outside and inside. You do have to clean the coils under the fridge on occasion as they get full of dust. This can be accomplished with the thin fitting on a vacuum cleaner hose.

I bought this refrigerator in 1992, when my boys were 9,2,and 2. Although it is showing wear, it is still in my kitchen. It takes a leak periodically, so I keep a towel in front, but once I remodel and buy new appliances, it will go in the garage. No water source then, so should be fine. Have never had a service call or any trouble with it, so I can't comment on KitchenAid's customer service.

We really enjoy our kitchenAid refrigerator. It is functional and efficient. The inside is set up nicely with plenty of space and shelves that can be changed to accommodate any item. The shelves have held up wonderfully even when we have placed a couple gallons of milk on the same one. The are very sturdy and also very easy to remove for cleaning. This fridge seems to maintain it's temperature well and when it is runny there is very little noise. The ice machine works well. We never run out of ice yet we never hear it making ice either. The freezer compartment is just like any other side by side. It does not have a ton of space but we manage to cram a lot of goods inside of it. I love the look of the fridge and the quality. It is also fantastic that it is energy star certified. I would highly recommend purchasing a KitchenAid refrigerator. You will not be disappointed.

Very good refrigerator, it has a center round drawer, that I thought I would like, but it seems to take up too much room. Another flat drawer would be better. This refrigerator has been in this house since 1995, with not problems. Like the ice maker, crusher, and ease of operation.
