I got the HP Photosmart a few months ago. I've been very happy with it. I really like that it's wireless. Very handy since I use it with a laptop. You can be working anywhere in the house and not have to go hook it up to print something. The scanner works well, but is kinda hard to figure out on your own. I recommend saving time by reading the instructions. (Which my husband didn't do) :) Everything about it works well and I like, except two little things. One: it goes into hibernation, or something, if not in use for a while and the only way to make it do ANYTHING is to unplug it. Could be something that can be easily solved by reading up about it. I'm not the "techy" though, my husband is so I'm leaving it to him to find where he put the manual and figure it out. The other thing is it's a little hard to change the ink cartridges. It's just kinda hard to see and figure out what's going on. Not that big of a deal though. So, all in all a good printer. Wireless all the way!

This is a decent, inexpensive printer for home-use. It is not a good printer if you are working with graphics/color as the colors are not very distinct compared to other HP printers (HP is my hands down favorite brand, btw). It doesn't go through ink too fast. I'm giving it a recommend with the understanding that I don't recommend if you are printing cards or professional business materials.

The HP Photosmart C4599 All-In-One Printer is a great entry level photo printer that delivers quality photos.  It is very easy to set up and does not even require the manuel.  The wireless feature is a little tricky and I found it does not work as well as direct cable to the computer. The scanner also works really well and fast. The supplied ink cartriges are much easier to use than the Epson printer I had before this and are cheaper to purchase new cartridges.  The supplied ink cartridges do not last long so I would recommend buying new ones right away. This unit appears much more rugged then my previous Epson printer.
