The HP photosmart c4480 is a decent printer. It came free (by rebate) with my computer. I use it multiple times a week and it works fairly well. I have a mac and the software to monitor in levels does not work properly -- but looking at the print results is always better anyways. It occasionally give an out of paper message, but for the most part works reliably. I have been using this printer for approximatly six months and have not had to replace either cartridge more than once. In fact, I don't think I've replaced the color cartridge at all, since I print mostly text. The software included is easy to use and very self explanatory, especially for scanning a document. The ink this printer uses is of comparable price to just about all ink cartridges. If you want a cheap printer than works well, this is a good one for that. Especially since this printer also scans and copys documents and photos well.

Photosmart C4480 is very easy to use, it has many features but is compact. You can print a select paragraph,in black ink only,or very fast if you have a lot of printing. The scanner is very simple to use and the copier is the best I've seen. HP is very helpful whether on the phone in E mail or talking on the computer. The price is reasonable also.

The HP Photosmart C4480 All-in-one printer is excellent. I had another printer and it recently died and I needed to purchase a new one. I needed a scanner, printer, and copier in one, as I do alot of all of these things on a daily bases. The set-up instructions are very easy to understand and the printer actually comes with ink. This I couldn't believe. I printed out crystal clear photos on the HP Photosmart C4480 in less than 5 minutes from the install. The best feature of the printer is that it has a tool bar compainion that helps you only print out things you want to print out. For example, if you want to print out a picture of something on a website, you can choose and clip the picture, and you don't have to print out everything out on the page. I love this feature. The printer also has a tiny little screen that tells you if you are copying, printing, or scanning. It also has ports to directly link a camera to the printer so you don't have to use a computer at all. The copier folds up to reduce bulky-ness. In fact, the only down side to this printer is that you have to buy a USB cable because it doesn't come with one.  I would suggest that if you are looking to print out many copys at one time, this printer does not hold a lot of paper, but it is great for home use.

I bought this printer for a very good price on a cyber monday a couple of years ago. It is a good little machine with print, scan, and copy capabilities. It doesn't come with a usb cable in the package. Fortunately, I happened to have a spare one. There were problems when I first intalled the software that came from the cd. However, after I updated it from the hp website everything came off smoothly.  The print and copy functions are excellent. All the documents/photos that I printed or copied so far are very good in quallity.  The scan function is less than desired. Many times when I tried to scan some documents with images on it, I found that the results came out to be off or inaccurate.  Some text were missing or scrambled together on the scan. Unlike most people, I turn off the printer when it's not in use. Sometimes when I  turn it on, the computer was not able to detect that the printer is on. Other times, the printer will turn on and then shut itself off. I had to disconnect it from the power outlet, reconnect it and restart it in order for it to work again. This machine eats up ink quickly, and the ink cartridges are quite expensive, almost exceeds the price of the printer itself when buying the black and color ink cartridges together.

I have had a few printers to compare this one to, and this is, by far, the best of them all. I *must* consider cost when purchasing a printer, and the price of this was right. I had had an older HP All-In-One model printer, and wasn't real happy with it, but purchased this, anyway, because I could afford it -- and because, overall, I trust the HP brand. I rarely use my printer for color printing, or even for *high-quality* black and white printing, so I can't say a lot about that. I'm more interested in ease of printing, scanning, and copying, without the glitches of my previous HP All-In-One. Usually, when there's a problem, all I have to do is to unplug it, wait a few seconds, and plug it back in. Another good feature is that I *can*, and usually *do*, choose "print in grayscale", which means that I don't use any color ink when I don't need it(another new feature). Ink cartridges are inexpensive and easy to find. Paper jams are easy to fix. Printer is compact -- takes up very little room. Basically, if you want an inexpensive, easy to use, all-in-one printer, this one fits the bill. And if, like me, you are concerned because of the glitches of the previous HP all-in-one, don't be...they seem to be worked out with this model. April 3, 2011: I have discovered something I don't like about this printer. I recently bought recycled ink cartridges, and replaced my old black ink with one. Everything worked fine. But a couple of days ago I replaced the color ink cartridge with a recycled one, and my printer won't accept it. This was a big disappointment to me.

I have copied many photos on this printer and made collages out of the copies. You cannot tell the difference between copy and actual photo!! The ink cartridges last for an extremely long time and clarity of color is magnificent.

This printer is good for many reasons, one would be that it is a three in one printer, which means less space to take up and less to spend on multiple things. It is also easy to use, but sometimes it has a lot of problems that makes me annoyed of it. For example, the scanner is so difficult at scanning sometimes it works and other times it does not. The papers also get jammed easily for me, which I have no idea why but it gets annoying to fix it multiple times. The other cons to this would be the ink uses up so fast, making it so expensive to buy ink and continue to replace it multiple times. If you would like a simple to use all-in-one printer than it is good to use, but if you do not mind using something complicated then there are other choices that may be better. I been using this one for awhile and it has not broke on me or anything, which is a good thing. There are not a lot of things to say about printers for me, I just print things when I have to otherwise I would not do it.

Having got this as a Gift, i was more than happy to see its many features including photo quality prints out, being a budding visual artist it was perfect.  The best feature for me is the slot included in the printer where we can directly insert in memory stick formats such as SD and even XD, so all i needed was to click photos in my digital camera and then insert it directly into the printer, select the images in an easy viewer, and print them out. Its color resolution is  4800 X 1200 DPI,  gave me such high quality printouts that i didn't need to goto my schools computer labs to take out my project printouts. Installing this printer onto my Macbook was a breeze, didn't take me more than  5 minutes. A quick printer test, and it was  printing away like a dream. The other awesome features included are that of scanning and photocopying, thought the scanner and photocopier are a bit slow compared to a dedicated one, they nevertheless do the job, and i frequently use it. My only gripe with the printer was that it didn't come with a USB cable, fortunately for me i had one laying around the house, please make sure you buy one when you buy the printer.  Printer  cartridges are all included.

I have a Hewlitt Packard All-in-one Printer Scanner Copier and the model Name and Number of my Hewlitt Packard All-in-onePrinter Scanner Copier is a HP Photosmart C4480. This Hewlitt Packard All-in-one Printer Scanner Copier has been very, well more accurately, good to me. Sometimes the Hewlitt Packard All-in-one Printer Scanner Copier will freeze up on me and i'll have to unplug the usb from the Hewlitt Packard All-in-one Printer Scanner Copier and then plug it back in to the back of the Hewlitt Packard All-in-one Printer Scanner Copier. But i have had my Hewlitt Packard All-in-one Printer Scanner Copier for about 3 years, no maybe 2 years, and i can, with a clear conscience, say it is a good buy but you can get better. The Hewlitt Packard All-in-one Printer Scanner Copier has a black ink cartridge and a tri color ink cartridge, and they are miraculously an ease for the heart to switch out. and also not expensive. The Hewlitt Packard All-in-one Printer Scanner Copier is a great buy.

Overall this is a nice printer. It has all the features one would need: scanner, copier and printer all in one and really it's not that big. The problem is it eats ink. You can't do too many great print jobs without running out of ink, which can get very costly. It's also just not designed for a ton of use. It's a small printer, and therefore not made for mulitple print jobs. The jobs take a long time to print, which again in not a problem if you aren't using it a ton, or on deadline with anything that involves color. I like that it's an Energy Star and can be used for different size paper, cards or envelopes, which comes in very handy. I find the scanner software a bit clumsy to use and not my first choice, but again gets the job done. It's the perfect computer for someone that needs light scanning, printing, copying or all three. Would work well for school assignments and projects. I would not recommend it for business.
