The HP Officejet 4315 all-in-one is a compact machine useful for light jobs. It is top-loading, which makes it difficult to scan or copy a page in a periodical or a book. The ink cartridges are good, but not great as the black will allow for many more sheets to be printed than the color. At the end of one year, noises start to make themselves heard, and begin to rumble and make ojectionble cranks. The printer has two area protectors: one that fold up to hide the valuable key  buttons and dialing keys and one cover that folds down from the top to cover everything else. It does travel well because it folds up so well Print is clear and sharp. However, the user is limited to copy neat and clean origingal, whereas the printer with the flat platen can copy almost everything that needs to be printed.

We had the HP 4315 All In One Series for about three years.  It worked well for just basic printing purposes, but we ended up buying a new printer recently to save on ink costs and to go wireless.  Like I said, if you are just doing light printing and faxing, it serves a great purpose.  However, I print a lot of coupons and so I was going through a lot of ink that was getting expensive and the print quality was poor.  The bar codes on the coupons often weren't readable, forcing the cashier to key it in by hand - which makes no one happy.  If you are getting an All In One printer for a lot of scanning, I would recommend going with another printer.  This one can scan small amounts of documents, but if you want lots of documents scanned it takes a while.  The scanning software that comes with the computer is also a bit confusing.  I had to rescan a bunch of documents because they were automatically scanned into a file that I didn't want.

I went back to school a couple of years ago. School means online college where i paractically used up a volume of encyclopedia's worth of copying paper. I started out with a printer that lasted about a year. It heps to bang on them and shake them around a bit there at the end when they lose their functions. The next printer I bought was an HP 4315 All-In-One that is still going strong despite the dust I have been too busy to remove. It is very reliable and goes well with my new Windows 7 OS. I have never had to panic when nothing happens after clicking on "print" as I did with other printers. It comes with software that includes a tool box that contains a jet cleaner and print cartridge alignment tool. It is very low maitenance which gives me lots of time to figure out just exactly what my textbooks are trying to tell me.

      HP Officejet 4315 All-in-one is the best purchase I have ever made. The fact is that it  is a faxmachine,printer,scanner, and copier all in one. The HP Officejet is really easy to set up and simple to use. I love the fact that it is all one machine and I don't have to     have four different machines to do the job the one does.It prints on both sides,you can   send and receive faxes. You can copy from the computer or you can make copys right   from the machine because it will scan it for you. You connect your regular phone line to  it to send and receive faxes so there is no longdistance charges to your phone bill. I also loved the price it was a really good deal for the price. I would recconmend anyone that uses a fax machine or scanner or needs a printer or copier to purchase the HP Officejet4315 All-in-one they won't be sorry they did.

I just got this printer, but I already love it.  The price was great and it works really well.  You do not have to have a special ink cartridge to be able to print pictures.  I can fax on my home number.  I love this product.

Hp 4315v all in one printer, fax, copy, scan is suppose to do it all. Misleading is that it isn't compatible with my Dell computer. Misleading is that they give you fax machine and you have to pay to get your own fax number to use it. This should be told in manual or on box before purchase. Good buy because it has lasted through 8 yrs of my hp computer and still holding on. Very durable yet big bulky and just right for a desktop. I wish it were smaller for home use. It runs good with the ink and like some has its days of good and bad ink purchases. Sometimes I fill it once every six months and sometimes once a month it depends on what I am doing. For a printer is dorn good and I have no problems with it at all. Other than it not being compatible with other computers. This is a hassle when you purchase another computer only to find the printer not in demand.
