This printer and scanner produces solid results.  I've used it for many crafts and photos.  The software can be frustrating.  I would prefer to have the option to not calibrate when I've placed a photo ink cartridge - what a waste of ink!  The printer is very user friendly otherwise.  I've not had to ask for help very often because of the excellant prompts I receive.  Scanning is slow but the results are very good.  Changing print cartridges is very easy and pictures on the door make sure you are placing them in the appropriate slot (I don't have to pull the printer manual out everytime I change a cartridge) however I did have a problem during my last craft project when the pictures came out like I was low on ink.  I changed the photo cartridge but still had the problem and it turned out to be the regular tricolor cartridge that was giving me the problems.  It would have been much nicer if the software would have alerted me to this.  Installation of the printer was a snap.  All in all, I really like the printer for it's speed of printing documents, pictures, and quality of scans.

My HP desk-jet F340 all in one is one of the best printers we have owned and we have owned alot. Ink replacement is easy and affordable. Come with diagnostic software that is easy to use and understand for the computer illiterate.

The Hewlett Packard Deskjet Printer F340 is a perfect addition to a home computer system. Pros for the home user would be it is compact, fits comfortably on your desk next to a PC. The printing quality is clear with sharp, bright colors. The copier is just right for keeping copies of important bills or papers. It also scans a nice crisp copy. I wouldn't recommend this printer for a business office or for someone who needs to run a tremendous amount of copies with each use. My children and I have used it to print out party invitations and they came out great! The hook-up of the Hewlett Packard Printer to your PC is also relatively easy even for someone like me who is not very computer literate. Another pro for this printer is the ease of changing the ink cartridges. Again, in my opinion if I can do it, anyone can. I have also used my printer for minimal scanning of pictures and those also have come out nice and clear.
