Gives A Good Workout

4

Now I prefer working out at home and have plenty of equipment but felt like I need something that would do everything in one. I focus mainly on cardio and the Gold's Gym 380 Elliptical gives me just that. Let me start off by saying this product has to be put together. All the fasteners were in labeled packs and instructions were easy to understand but you have to put some muscle into tightening the fasteners so I had to have my husband help. After putting it together I was amazed at my first time on it. I literally felt like I had worked out every inch of my body and the next day my limbs felt like sore. This elliptical has different resistance levels and you can work your way up to the difficult setting, it has 6 programed workouts. One of the biggest factors that makes this a wonderful product is how easy it is on my hips and joints, it has a rather smooth movement to it. Overall this is a great product for the price, its built with quality, very durable, and isn't big and bulky.

Great price for an OK Elliptical

I purchased the Gold Gym Stride Trainer 380 Elliptical on sale so I scored it for an excellent price. Assembly took a while but with the help of a friend, got it together as it was needed. The Elliptical provides a great workout and works, but there are a few complaints I do have about the machine. There is no place to put my iPod or a magazine if I want to. I like to keep the timer covered, but there is no way to do so without tape. The first few days, the machine was fairly quite. However, by the end of my first week using it, the machine suddenly grew louder and sort of rocked from side to side. The elliptical is proving to be an item that needs quite a bit of frequent maintenance. Now the elliptical squeaks from time to time. For the price I paid, I would say it was worth the money. It does the job, but it is not the perfect machine.

We bought this elliptical bike, BRAND NEW, still in the box to allow us the comfort of working out at home. With very minimal help of my husband, we put together this bike in about 5 hours. It's wasn't too hard, the instructions were easy to follow, just time consuming and labor intensive. After we put together the bike, it seemed to work well for the time being. The thing I did not like about this elliptical bike is the resistance. Even the lowest resistance is very difficult to maneuvar, and I have very strong legs. It almost made me a little hesitant to work out on it, because it seemed like I was gaining more muscle in my legs than losing fat off other parts of my body or increasing my heart rate. Even 5-10 minutes on the bike, I felt like I got way too much of a work out in my legs. Then, the bike started making funny noises. I know we put it together 100% correctly, so who knows what the noise is. We didn't pay too much for this brand new bike, BUT I would not recommend it. If I could do it over again, I would maybe pay a little more for a better quality bike, or one that came pre-assembled to where you could test drive it before you bought it.
