With all the good reviews I guess I'm the devil's advocate. While I usually adore the Emergen-C line of products, favoring the Super Orange, the Emergen-C Lite Vitamin C Citrus flavor left me disappointed and hoping they didn't change the entire line to taste or make me feel the way this one did. The taste upon putting the most water the drink allows, tastes like salt water. I got no citrus taste from it at all. Upon trying a second pack, I put less water and it tasted merely like someone mixed up salt water and then poured lime into it. It also was not as fizzy as the other Emergen-C drinks I've had. When used with less water, as the packet gives option wise, while stronger, the flavor quickly fades back to the watery salty taste. Both times, regardless of stirring it, there were small hunks of the powder, within the drink. Emergen-C has a range of great drinks, it's just this isn't one of them.

as good as it gets!

I love Emergen-c as a vitamin c booster brand all together. But one thing I think we forget when we take supplements like these is that they actually do have calories! So this lite version is perfect for someone on a strict diet or who isn't trying to add an extra 40 calories here and there when they take these supplement packs. The flavors of the lite version are limited but they are still very good flavors. So if you are okay with the limited variety and are happy with a fraction of the calories these are best. I still have an affinity towards other Emergen-c flavors so I tend to buy both and rotate between these when I need the extra vitamin c boost. These really do help with combatting colds especially when you can feel one coming on. But just keep in mind, these are huge amounts of our daily value for Vitamin C so try not to take it with other vitamin c foods and supplements.

Emergen-C has such a huge line of products that it is amazing. We've used a wide variety of their products for years and it's nice to be able to switch flavors when you get tired of one. This particular one is called "lite" because it has a bit less sugar in it. I believe all the other ingredients are essentially the same as the other 1000mg vitamin C varieties. This one has a nice light, citrusy taste and doesn't taste as sweet as the non-lite varieties. It has a nice amount of not only vitamin c but the b vitamins too as well as trace minerals and electrolytes. I honestly feel like this product helps support my immune system and also helps keep my energy up. It is something we rely on during the cold and flu season and the long, cold winter months. It dissolves well in water and tastes ok. I'm not a big fan of the fizzy action though, but that's my only complaint. The price is decent and it is easy to find in most stores. Our local hospital has a well-respected cancer center and they even sell it in their supplement dispensary so that tells you something. I recommend this and all the Emergen-C products.

Fantastic product!

I fully believe that Emergen-C is a great way to fight off a budding cold or sickness. Whenever I feel like I might be a little under the weather or that I may have a cold coming on, I make sure to take and Emergen-C at least once a day for 2-3 days. It has happened in the past on more than 1 occasion that I felt like I might be coming down with something. Flu season was in full effect, people at work were getting sick left and right, and I began to develop a runny nose and congestion, along with an overall bad feeling. I popped Emergen-C twice a day for 3 days, and my symptoms started to go away after the first day. I fully believe that the vitamin C helped kick the cold, and I recommend Emergen-C to anyone who feels like they might be getting a cold. If you feel like you are developing something serious, you should still go to your doctor, but it doesn't help to get the vitamin C levels up and give your immune system a little boost.

Super energy booster when resistance is low

5

I don't travel much by airplane, and usually get sick when I do.  On one return trip, a passenger suggested I try Emergen-C as a way to boost my immune system before traveling.  I listened, and now use the product every time I fly.  It is a packet of 1000 mg vitamin C, vitamin B and 32 mineral complexes that you mix in water.  It fizzes for a minute and then you drink it.  I use it about 4 days before my trip and it I highly endorse its effectiveness.  I also use it the minute I start feeling like my resistance is low and may become sick.

Emergen-C Lite fits my lifestyle

5

I remember being home from school, sick as a dog, lying on the couch just trying to recuperate when my mother brought me two things to try and make everything better, the first was a book titled **The Sick of Being Sick Book** (loved it) and a tall glass of water mixed with an incredibly fizzy concoction that I later found out was Emergen-C Lemon Lime. I don't know the medical properties but it did make me feel better and I have been using Emergen-C products ever since. And now, that I am not a child, I use Emergen-C Lite. It has the same flavor as the regular Lemon Lime but the Emergen-C Lite is only five calories and isn't nearly as sweet. emergen-C Lite still packs a punch since it is the original formula with seven mineral ascorbates that deliver 1,000 mg of Vitamin C in a non-acidic formula that revs up your immune system. It also has tons (a truly non-scientific count) of B vitamins give you natural, non-caffeinated energy. They also add thirty-two active mineral complexes, antioxidants and other micronutrients to help you really feel the good. It revs me up and help me not to get sick, and on the off chance I do get get, helps me get back on my feet quicker.

Emergen-C Lite: Better than Water

4

I have been using various formulas of Emergen-C for years, as a way of easily increasing my intake of vitamin C.  Recently, however, I have become an especially devoted fan of Emergen-C.  I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, and was encouraged to supplement my diet heavily with B vitamins, as a deficiency in such vitamins can exacerbate or possibly even cause fibromyalgia symptoms.  I noticed that Emergen-C provides a healthy dose of these important vitamins, which are crucial for providing energy, along with its advertised boost of vitamin C.  I currently take several packets of Emergen-C a day, which is why I decided to try this 'lite' formula, which offers roughly twenty fewer calories per serving that the standard formulations of Emergen-C.  The 'lite' formula is light on taste, as well, which took some getting used to.  Other flavors of Emergen-C are certainly more flavorful, but I came to like the subtle lemony flavor of this lighter substitute.  It pretty much tastes like enhance water, but I still enjoy it more than water, and it does provide substantial nutritional advantages.  I highly recommend it as an alternative to water during a workout, or at pretty much any other time of day.
