Elmer's Glue Dots: Better Than Tape, Less Mess Than Glue

4

Glue Dots are an ingenious alternative to tape, glue, glue sticks and double sided tape. They can be used for crafting, minor repairs, making greeting cards and origami. The dots are about the size of a dime and are peeled off of a backing strip and placed there needed. There's no "dry time" needed and unlike glue, there's no set up time required before you and press items together. They are great for kids to use if they like making things but younger kids might get frustrated peeling the dots off the sheet and placing them on to something else without the edges rolling over or the dot becoming stuck to itself. Once they get the hang of using these they will love being able to make paper flowers or books without having to wait for glue or glue sticks to dry. Another perk is that these do not leave any type of bump or show-mark on paper so if you are worried that you are going to see a circle show through the paper, that isn't a problem. The downside is that you can't use these if you are putting glitter on something. For that you are going to need to use a liquid glue. You can get the Glue Dot Dispenser so you can avoid peeling them off the backing sheet but I really didn't like the feel of it when I was using it. The shape of it was odd and you couldn't see exactly where the dot was going to end up on the paper you were working with. There are limitations to what the dots can hold, for construction paper, card stock and poster board it does a good job of allowing you to attach small to medium size pieces but heavier things like cardboard are going to need multiple dots or an industrial double sided tape.

Great on the go product to add to your craft basket!

I received the Elmer's CraftBod Glue Spots to try free as a Bzzagent. Being that Elmer's is a very well known and trusted name, these Glue Spots are no disappointment. I've used them in scrap-booking projects, origami that I wanted to stay put, and I have used them to tack fabric to tiles as a trial run. Of course, on the tiles my finished products will get an additional product when I get things where I want them. They hold very well and are convenient to take on the go to do projects or make repairs with no mess. I also get more use and customize shaped pieces out of the bigger sized ones by cutting them before taking off the top sheet of plastic. If you would like a completely smooth finish, you may want to try a liquid Elmer's glue product. Though a bit pricey for the amount you get, I would still recommend them and will keep them around for my on the go bag.

Elmer's Craft Bond Glue Dots is a quick helper.

I was into a site for Elmers Glue and had subscribed to the email. They had a free sample they were offering so I put my name in and received it. I received a package with 8 glue dots to try. They come in pop up medium and thin mini permanent bond. These are acid free and easy to apply so they will work especially well when I do my scrapbooking. These glue spots are also photo safe. I can used them to secure my pictures. If you have adhesive tape that you have tried and it don't work, then these can do the trick. These glue dots come on a small paper that you peel off so it is easy to access them. They are 1/8 inches thick so you don't have a lot of bulk. These are convenient and easy to grab a hold of. They are also mess free. **This product is made in the USA.** Elmers has been a trusted brand for years. When you try this it should come in handy for any craft, pictures, scrapbooking needs that you may have.

Elmer's craft nond glue dots are great for scrapbooking

Elmer's Craft glue dots are very convenient. They are easier and not messy like glue sticks. They are good for kids to use. They are a little pricey and they can be small depending what you are glueing. Thye do seem to dry quickly which is a good thing. They dont make a mess. They are very easy to store and you dont have to worry about them drying out. You dont have to worry about spills and they didnt harm my pictures I was scrapbooking. They dont make a mess and make your hands all sticky. They are very very easy to use. They are worth the price for art projects and scrapbooking. For bigger task a glue stick would be much cheaper and easier. I havent seen any coupons for these. Wish they could have some coupons for them or the price was lower to behin with because I would use them for a lot more things and they would evne be good for school projects but with the current price they are too expensive for the kids to use at school.

I was excited to try all the items that I received in my Elmers Crafters BZZkit.  When I opened it the first thing that I wanted to try was the Craft Bond glue spots.   The first thing I thought to try was on the back of a picture in my scrap book.  It worked great.  Normally I use the tape runner but sometimes that isn't strong enough.  The glue was a little sticky but with some practice I got the hang of getting it off the paper and not on my fingers.  I really liked how it held on to thicker fabrics, buttons etc. in the scrap book that tape isn't quite able to hold for long periods of time.  I will continue to use my Elmers tape runner for light weight items like pictures but will use the glue spots for all my heavy items.  In addition the glue spots have been great for other crafts with my kids.  It is sticky enough right after the spot is in place to hold items temporarily while my kids are excited about their finished projects.  Sometimes regular glue doesn't dry quite fast enough and I find little pieces of projects around the house.

Elmer's Glue Spots work great, no glue mess to clean

I received some Elmer's Glue Spots in my bzz kit from Bzz Agent. I have used several different Elmer's Glue products in the past but have never tried the Glue Spots. The glue spots are great for many different uses. My youngest tends to use way too much white glue on arts & crafts projects in turn having wet wrinkly paper that all too often tears or having the glue ooze out of the sides. The glue spots were perfect for him. Funny thing, he asked if I cut the glue spots while he was asleep. I loved how the Elmer's Glue Spots give your projects a 3-D look with the raised design.Of course these are also great for scrapbooking and I have used them in my photo albums. The glue spots are available in several sizes & thickness. They are clear and also acid free so you do not have to worry about the glue harming your favorite pics.I will definitely continue to use the Elmer's Glue Spots in more than just scrapbooking.

I found all sorts of uses for it

I love the design of this glue- best design yet.  I love the thickness- perfect.  It's not runny but provides good coverage. I  was suprise that it dried faster than most regular craft glues but not difficult like super glue.  I even used it on my daughter's wilma flinstone as a make-shift fray check and it worked beautifully!  Elmer's really fit the bill.  Plus, it can fit into my junk drawer b/c it isn't much bigger than a marker.

Less mess, fun to use Elmers Craft Bond Glue Dots

5

As part of my Bzz Agent kit I received a wonderful assortment of Elmers Craft Bond Products.  Eager to try them I started working on some scrapbook pages.  I have paid a lot of attention to other scrapbooking tools but always relied on a glue stick for attaching photos and trims.  Well I was pleasantly surprised to find that there are products to make scrapbooking easier and less messy.  First lets start with the glue dots.  These are great for very small pieces of trim which get all full of the glue stick and soon everything is full of glue.  Simply press a glue dot on the back and attach!  Easy and mess free.  I also received Craftbond Permanent Tape runner.  This is awesome for heavier glossy photos which don't hold well with a glue stick.  My son immediately borrowed it for a school project and exclaimed "this is the best thing ever....buy me more".  Anyone with a sixteen year old son knows that they rarely get excited about anything in front of you, let alone a craft product.  Their glue sticks and clear glue pen both have superior hold over cheaper brands.  All in all,l I now realize that the glue stick should not be the only adhesive in my scrapbooking box.  Each of these different products brings something new to the table making your project better with a lot less mess.

Elmer's Craft Bond Glue Spots are a great tool when crafting!

I am a Bzz Agent and received a sample of Elmer's Craft Bond Glue Spots and I was thrilled with the product!  They come in different sizes (I tried both the 3/16 inch and 1/2 inch) and love that they come in different thickness!  I have tried other "pop-up" products and have not had a lot of success with the permanency of the product, but Elmer's product worked great!  I highly recommend this product for scrapping, school projects, or any other fun craft!

Quality Results without the Mess!

Elmer's Craft Bond Glue Dots are awesome. I received this product to try and give my thoughts on it. It sure does deliver. Something as simple as glue dots can really make a difference when you want to produce a quality craft piece (in my case - I used them in scrapbooking). The glue dots hold the paper, photos, etc really well and it is not messy. That is the best part. No mess and quality results. Very easy to use and apply.
