Dr Brown's Bottles worked for us.

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I used Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Baby Bottles for my daughter. I breadfeed her primarily, but I did pump and used bottles when were weren't home or someone else wanted to feed her.

While the Dr. Brown bottles are a little more time consuming on cleaning with all the little parts I think it is worth the work to help keep babies tummies healthy and happy. I just threw the parts in a dishwashing basket and it didn't take too much time to keep them clean.

When she got older I did switch to regular bottles without special inserts.

These are thin so it makes it easy for baby to hold the bottle easier themselves. I think my daughter held her own bottle a lot sooner than her friends her age.

If p...

Thanks Dr. Brown. You made my day-- I mean, night!

My daughter was a colicky and gassy baby-- not something that I wish on anyone!  She was not a fan of breast milk, so we looked to other options. We tried nearly every baby bottle and every baby formula maker. No luck. She was still fussy.

Then, we discovered Baby's Only Organic Baby Formula, and our life changed. My daughter loved it and devoured it. Now, we just needed a way to give it to her that she would accept.

We tried several baby bottles with our son and his favorite was Dr. Brown's. We prayed that the same bottles would work with her! We had no interest in going out and buying all new bottles. We were already paying a lot for the formula.

Alas, Dr. Bro...

Thank you Dr. Brown for my non-gassy baby

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

When my first daughter was born, she had a lot of issues with gas and projectile vomiting. We had to switch her formula and bottles a few times before we got the perfect combination. After making several adjustments, these bottles were exactly the solution to all of my baby's gas. When we had our 2nd child, I did not even think twice about which bottles I was going to use. My children are 6 years apart so I had to re-purchase all of the baby stuff again. I happily spent the money on these bottles because I knew that my baby was going to love them and she does! The only complaint that I have with these bottles is that they have several parts to make it work. I remembered quickly how t...

Love em even though they are hard to clean

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I used these for my son first when he was a baby because they looked cool.  Honestly when I made my registry at Babies R Us I just thought that these bottles would really come in handy if my son was colicky more than the others would so I bought them.  When I had my daughter I bought a few more, but still had the original ones from my son.  I prefer the original ones.  The newer ones have a cloudy tint to the plastic which makes it hard to fill up.  And with a hungry baby, bottles need to be filled quickly and sometimes while juggling the baby at the same time.  Despite the many parts, I find them easy to clean.  I just rinse all the parts and the bottle an...

Dr. Brown makes the most amazing bottles

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

These bottles are incredible! They come with a little rubber piece that connects to a tube. The pubber piece filters out the air and sends it through the tube. The result? Your baby doesn't swallow all those little air bubbles that cause gas and discomfort. Less spit up, less crying.

The liquid comes out easily enough and the filter system works like a charm. The bottles come with different stages of nipples--stage one nipples have a limited flow that will keep your baby from drinking too much and getting bloated. The later stages allow more of a flow so your baby can get the full eight ounces he or she needs.

Some people say the bottles leak, but that's usually just when you don't have al...

Dr. Brown's bottles are the best for gassy and fussy babies!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

My son is 5 1/2 months old and has a very sensitive stomach. I was unable to breastfeed due to many complications that I had and we had to use formula. The first brand of bottles that we used only lasted about a week due to my son having such a strong sucking reflex that the nipple seperated from the ring causing leaks. The second set that we got worked well until at 3 weeks out son developed colic and a very sensitive stomach with lots of gas troubles. After extensive research and talking to our doctor and other moms with gassy babies, everyone said Dr. Brown's bottles were the best. They were a little more expensive than other bottles but I was willing to try anything at that point. I noti...

Wouldn't use anything else!!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

These bottles are amazing.  I used them with my son five years ago and am now using them with my week old daughter.  I wouldn't have ANYTHING ELSE!!  I tried the regular Dr. Brown's bottles (narrower), but my son just wouldn't have it...he liked these wider necked bottles and I'm thinking it's because they're more like the breast.  With my daughter, I wanted to use these because it makes interchanging from breast to bottle much easier.  Also, with the wide neck nipple, it covers their entire mouth which makes them even better for gassy/fussy babies.  I know some people complain that there are too many pieces to the bottles, but that's really not an issue - they'...

Not worth the price

Overall
Rated 2 out of 5

In my opinion, every baby is different and every baby (that uses a bottle) wants a different kind of bottle.  Some babies are pickier than others, though.  I bottle fed my oldest two sons, and I tried using Dr. Brown's bottles with both of them, and it was more hassle than it was worth.  There are far too many parts to wash, and though it claims to help with gassy babies, it didn't seem to help any more at all.  I also learned that if you wash them in the dishwasher, the bottles could potentially melt.  (That's always fun...especially when you've spent quite a bit on them.)  I think they are too exspensive, honestly.  They also leaked REALLY bad most of the...

My baby loves the Dr. Brown's bottles

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

These were the only bottles that my newborn would take. The other nipples seemed too small for her mouth, and she still uses these bottles now, and we haven't ever had issues with them. I think it's definitely worth the hassle of cleaning for a happy baby! I like the way that the bottles curve in so that it allows for you to hold the bottles more comfortably--this is definitely a must for when the baby is eating 10-12 a day. I tried to switch to the standard size Dr. Brown bottles at first, and they must have a slightly faster flow (I checked, I was using the Size 1 nipples) because it would run out of her mouth faster than she could eat it, but we never had any problems with these bottles, it actually seemed to be comfortable around her mouth and helps to hold it at the right angle. I also feel like these bottles are pretty affordable...I bought two extra boxes after she was born and we were sure these would work for her.

Simply the BEST!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

We tried at least ten different bottles before finding one my son would latch onto without choking himself!  Dr. Browns was it!  We found them at Babies R Us and they were relatively new at the time.  I thought they looked a bit weird with the added stuff inside, but after reading the enclosed pamphlet it was a no brainer.  I was super excited about the reduced likelihood of ear infections and gas build up.  As a baby I had chronic ear problems and had to have my tonsils out as a result.  I was ultra paranoid of ear infections.  My son never had one!  Since then, there have been two other babies that have entered our lives and both of them have been ve...

after using for only 2 days my daughter was a happier baby!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

My daughter was 2 months old and gassy and I tried different bottles until I read reviews about Dr Brown's bottles. I was not crazy about the idea of having more parts to wash but I was willing to try.

In only 2 days I could tell the difference! She was much happier and most of the gas problems were gone. I was so happy I didn't mind washing the inserts. Now I just put them in the dishwasher  and it's as easy as any other bottle. The wide necks are a little big but my daughter likes the nipple much better than the little bity nipples from the standard bottle. We tried the standard Dr Brown bottle but she could drink very well from it.

With these technology the baby doesn't need to take a break to suck the air while drinking, so my daughter can drink the whole bottle without stopping to catch her breath and I don't need to fix the nipple that is collapsing like other bottles do. We are so pleased and I am planning to use again for my next baby

Doc Brown's a Must Have for Newborn

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

When my first child was born we had received a variety of different baby bottles as gifts.  We gave them each a try to see what fit our daughter the best and the Dr. Brown's bottle was the best hands down.

We had very few spit ups and the flow of the bottle worked perfectly for her.  The Dr. Brown's brand offers a selection of different nipples as your child's needs change.  The only down side is that these were not so easy to find.  We could only located the Y nipple at Babies R Us.

It may feel like you are constantly washing bottles and bottle parts with these but the end result was so worth it for us.  Once our daughter was a bit older I tried washing the differ...

Dr. Brown's Bottles are one of the best!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

The Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Polypropylene Baby Bottles are one of the best on the market.  I had to purchase these for one of my twins.  My daughter had issues with aspiration and need a slow flow that would not cause her gas.  The Dr. Brown bottles were recommended to me by my doctor and friends because of their ventilation system.  I must admit that I had my reservations since these bottles were a bit more expensive than others on the the market.  In the beginning I only purchase three to see how they would work.  After using them for a week, I went back and purchased more.  These bottles provided the right fit for holding not only for myself but for my ...

Good bottle

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

The Dr. Brown's bottles have worked great for my husband for feeding out daughter breastmilk when I am at work. Initially we tried just normal bottles and regular nipples (that came in a formula representative sample received in the mail). The nipples allowed the milk to flow out so fast that my daughter would just want more and more milk, and then just spit it all back out because she was eating way too much (and going though the frozen milk supply way to fast). Once switching over to the Dr. Brown's she is able to pace herself and take the milk at a rate that she knows when she is full, rather than just being pored in. This has also reduced the amount that she spits up. The down side is that there are quite a few little parts and pieces that go to the bottle, and can be a pain to take apart and put back together. Over washes easily though. They are expensive also which does make it a challenge to purchase, but overall worth it.

Dr. Brown's Bottles are Grandma's Friends

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

My daughter-in-law introduced me to Dr. Brown's bottles about three years ago. We were in a national discount store and my grandson was just a few weeks old. These didn't look like the bottles I remembered using, but I wanted to cuddle and feed my new grandson. I discovered that these are WONDERFUL bottles. The baby can drink several ounces before needing to be burped and there is very little, if any, spit-up. The wide neck is great if you use the powdered formula. It is much easier to get all the powder into the bottle instead of spilling onto the kitchen counter. It also makes it easier to wash. The shape of the bottle is comfortable to hold. My grandson was a very happy baby and now his new little brother uses Dr. Brown's bottles with as much success.
