This espresso machine is small, easy to use and works very fast, but I have not had luck with getting a good tasting cup of espresso from it. I have tried many diffferent brands of espresso, filtered water, bottled water-it always tastes wrong. The water reservoir looks discolored, perhaps that is what is causing the off flavor. I have tried cleaning it by running a vinegar batch, with no results. The patented steam cap is a great safety feature, but sometimes is hard to get on and off. The dual-dispensing option is a nice idea, if you often make two cups of espresso. Using the cover with spatter-guards to use on top of the class carafe is a must-it foams all over the place if you dont use it! The side steam wand for frothing milk is hard to use, the knob does not have instructions or any indicator points on it. The steam wand is also very hard to clean, as the milk gets inside the wand head. I would not buy this model again, but would be willing to try another DeLonghi product.

I was spending too much money going out to get coffee so after looking around for awhile and hearing good things about this brand I finally ended up buying this espresso machine. It was decently priced and had decent reviews so I was hoping it would work well. I liked it a lot when I first got it, but it has now been a couple months and the machine does not work as well anymore. The espresso has an off taste to it and the machine sometimes just will not work at all, I think because something with the pressure is off. I have a really hard time getting the machine cleaned. The milk frother also does not work as well as I would like and is in an awkward place. When trying to put my cup under it I have to move the machine to the front of the counter to get the frother to fit right. I would recommend spending a little more for a better product.

If you are looking to make any drinks besides straight espresso, do NOT buy this machine! I would not recommend this machine to anyone. I bought it with a gift card that I had gotten for Christmas, but was unable to get it working properly. I poured over the directions and followed them step-by-step several times. I was never satisfied with my coffee and I was never able to get the milk adequately steamed. The milk would not heat all the way through, so it was warm on top, but never warmed all the way through. I have worked as a barista, so I am very familiar with the process of making espresso drinks and I still couldn't figure out this machine! I can't imagine how difficult it would be for someone with no experience making their own coffee drinks! After 2 weeks of messing with the machine, I finally returned it for a store credit. I have decided to use my credit and put more money on it for a better machine.

I love iced mocha latte's, and have been purchasing them where-ever someplace sells them ready made. I got one of these for Christmas, and haven't gone without a iced mocha latte since... It's saving me tons of money, and works wonderfully! I would recommend this product for anyone that loves coffee the way I do!
