That's OK. I didn't want to look like a butthead anyway.

**The Verdict - Not for those with thin hair.  Might work for people with thick hair, but you'll look like a butthead. **

Before I cut my hair short, I had really long hair with long bangs.  Nice... but my hair is fairly limp and flat and I struggle to give it a little more oomph. I could get the back and sides oomphy with various styling tricks and tools, but my bangs needed some help.

So when I saw **Bumpits **on QVC and saw the little **Bumpit **specifically for bangs, I decided to give them a try. Yes, I read the reviews and heard that they suck, but did I listen? Of course not.

Being the instant gratification queen that I am, I got mine at a local drugstore to save ti...

My fine hair wont let me use this product.

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

Although Bumpits didn't work for me, I wont give it a bad review.  My reason for this is because they are a terrific idea, and if you have full hair or even hair with a normal density, I think they would work wonderfully.  But for my hair type......they just didn't work.

Bumpits are a fairly new product, which are designed to add instant volume to your hair.  They are self gripping, leave-in, hair inserts.   They add height and body to otherwise lifeless hair.  I was so excited to try them out for myself after seeing them on QVC.  I was able to find them on ebay a few days later, and paid $ 19.99 for one regular size bumpit and two bumpits for bangs.&...

So sad, So mad...The Bumpits crushed my dreams.

Overall
Rated 2 out of 5

I seen these things on a infomercial and I was like seriously??? This actually made a little excited to try, because they seemed fool proof and looked like they took a short time. I actually purchased these at "As Seen on TV" store in the mall and they came up to like 21 bucks. I went home and they included 1 XL, 2 L and 2 Mediums and 2 mini's.

I have thick hair...I teased my crown like it said on the instructions, and I placed the bumpits, I pinned for security and sprayed... Wahhh-Lahhh I looked faboulous (well for the first hour). I walked around I did my daily activities, Ugh I started to feel this thing slide around. I ran to my room to adjust it, what do you know my hair had slipped f...

Gives me so many more hair options!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I was skeptical at first, as with most infomercial items, but I waited to buy the bumpits when they arrived at my local Rite-Aid store. I do have to tell you that there is a small learning curve, but I did quickly master volume and height to my ponytails and updos. The last time I wore the larger bumpit, my boyfriend couldn't stop raving about how great my hair looked. Today I am wearing the small bumpit for a "poof" at the front of my hair. I feel that I have been given 3 or 4 new ways to wear my hair. I would probably not wear it in my hair if I didn't pull it up, I'd be afraid it would fall out, and truthfully, the bump is a little large. I am very happy with the results, however I do have finer hair, so I am constantly asking my daughter "Is my bumpit showing"

BUMPITS

Overall
Rated 1 out of 5

Bumpits did not work for me I wish I would have read reviews before wasting all the money I did on them. My hair is not thin and not short and I found my hair tangled in them could not get them to stay in my hair and just was al together frustrated with them. A waste of money for me and just taking up drawer space. I would not recommend them to anyone

good product

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

First off I do not think this product is for everyone, those with extremely fine hair or really tight curly hair seem to have a harder time with this product. I myself have medium length wavy dark hair. I think the fact that my hair isn't stick straight helps it cling better to the little teeth on the bump it. I got the brown color and it blends well into my hair. I was very skeptical about this product because it just didn't seem like it would work well or it might me "too much" for everyday use, but I found it pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it and it stays in place pretty well. I have used it all day long and with just a headband and a couple of bobbi pins holding it in place and it has stayed put. But again I think my hair types helps, as I have pretty thick hair. I personally do not like to use a ton of hairspray and this product still works just fine, but I could see where someone with fine hair might have to.

Bumpits bump, but they look stupid.

Overall
Rated 1 out of 5

Bumpits Hair Volumizing Inserts are an incredibly useless item. They specialize in "volumizing hair," and yet they work the worst with people who have thin hair. They wiggle and wobble, and don't stay put at all. And if you try to get them to stabilize, you'll find yourself spending more time than you should styling your hair (which the bumpits was supposed to do for you in the first place - it was marketed as being an "easy and simple" way to style your hair). It also becomes very obvious to people that you're wearing one of these in your hair, which kind of defeats the purpose, since it shows people that you're insecure about your hair and require the use of one of these things. And if you don't want people to notice it, you'll end up constantly checking a mirror and fudging around with your hair to make sure that the bumpit didn't move or shift or start showing. A very inconvenient product that doesn't help at all.

Bumpits are cool!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I tried Bumpits because I have curly, thin hair that is absolutely FLAT most of the time.  I was sick of using oodles and oodles and oodles and oodles and oodles and oodles of hairspray!  I spent a fortune on hairspray every month.  SO I had seen Bumpits for quite a while and was thinking about getting them when I saw them on sale (don't recommend paying full price for them) at Ross.  Two dollars and ninety-nine cents.  So I snagged them and decided that I would take them home and try them.  I'm wearing the medium one right now.  I love the full look it gives but unfortunately, since my hair is thin (I can hold the width in like 1/4 inch finger space when i...

Not as easy as you think - Bumpits Hair Volumizing Inserts Suck

Overall
Rated 2 out of 5

I am not the best at doing hair but once I saw the infomercial and how easy they made it look I ran out to Rite aid and purchased it.  It was about $10-$12 for the package.  It included everything you see in the picture above.  It also came with instructions but I read them and they really did not serve a purpose.  I was super excited to try them as the new trend is the having that little poof on the top of  your hair.  So I sought out to do it and I failed.  The bumpits did not stay fully in put, I used hair spray and bobby pins and they still did not feel as secure as they should have.  When I got it in place I just felt like they would dro...

Bumpits don't work for everybody!

Overall
Rated 1 out of 5

I love trying new hair products and I have never worn the new "teased up" hairstyle so I thought I would give Bumpits a try. It seemed like a good idea. I purchased a kit of three for blondes at Walgreens for around ten dollars or so. I have what people would call "easy" hair. It's easy to style... it's not too thick or too thin or too straight or too curly so I thought Bumpits would be a no-brainer. Well I was wrong. It's impossible to get that thing to stay in your hair. I am really good at styling hair, too, so it's not that, either. It feels uncomfortable and wobbly, not at all secure and it also is visible when wearing, which really looks bad. I think with a little tweaking they could fix this product, but as it is now sold, I'm afraid it just doesn't do the job. Plus, when I tried taking it out, it got all tangled up in my hair and it took me forever to get it out. This product is just not worth the ten bucks.

waste of money

Overall
Rated 1 out of 5

I saw the commercial for this product on late night TV.  I knew I had to try it.  One trick I've learned about purchasing "As Seen on TV" products is that they will charge you an arm and a leg for shipping and "processing."  And even if the product has a money-back guarantee, they will not refund you for said arm and leg for shipping and processing.  So I always buy "As Seen on TV" products at brick and mortar stores.  This way, I can return the product if they do not work (which typically ends up being the case), and I do not have to pay for shipping and processing.  I bought this product at Bed Bath and Beyond.  I was so excited to try this product, but I...

Bumpits are overrated and useless.

Overall
Rated 1 out of 5

volumizing inserts I think not. my hair has thinned alot over the years and I thought the Bumpits sounded like just what I needed. I had seen alot of advertiments about them. They were cheap so I figured what have I got to lose. They make it out like you just put one in behind a section of hair and poof you have well a poof. i was really happy to get my Bumpits in the mail. I read the instructions and my bubble of happiness was popped.the manual stated you are to backcomb or tease or rat or whatever you want to call it the hair.i already knew I could get lots of volume by backcombing my hair. Teasing and backcombing makes a rats nest of your hair not to mention a mess to try to brush out. I was very dissapointed at how tiny the Bumpits are.they look like they belong in a childs head. The manual also said in order to reach the volume they falsely advertise to use more than one. I had trouble keeping one of these silly things in forget trying two.In the junk pile goes the Bumpits.

My Bumpits was the hit of the party!

Overall
Rated 1 out of 5

I style my hair each morning with a round brush and lots of hairspray.  When I saw the commercial for Bumpits I thought it sounded a bit too good to be true, but if it really worked to give me some more height at the crown of my head, why not?  I guess my gut told me not to buy it, but my vanity got the best of me.  I saw Bumpits for sale at my local CVS drugstore and decided to try it.  My best friend was with me and we couldn't wait to get home and put it on our heads.  What a joke!  It has no gripping power at all, so it constantly falls off your head!  And it is nearly impossible to get your hair to cover it.  I can't imagine going out in publ...

Good Idea - Poor Execution

Overall
Rated 1 out of 5

The idea of bump-its is a good one, it's just that the execution of the idea into the actual product is terrible.  In theory, the little plastic "arrows" are supposed to keep the bumpit in place & then you have to tease your hair over the bumpit so the teeth don't show through.

My complaint has to do with the "arrows" located on the bottom of the bumpit that rests against your head.  They are supposed to keep the bumpit in place, but for the life of me I could never get the damn thing to stay put & I have very thick hair.  After about 20 minutes I gave up & took it back to the store.  The company could easily fix the "arrow" problem by re-designing the product so it can be clipped to the hair, allowing the bumpit to stay in place a lot better.

Hollywood Hair, Easy Elegance, Mega Volume!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I just received mine as a gift as I've been dying to try these, but too cheap to spend $9.99 on something that might or might not work!  They work!  My friend bought my set at Walgreens drugstore.  It has a large, Medium and a mini.   She got mine in blonde because they didn't have an option for my haircolor, red, and it blends just fine because I'm a strawberry blonde.  A darker red would probably have to go with brunette.            Anyway, I think the key is hair thickness.  Like most of the other positive reviewers, I have thick hair, so I had zero problem with it staying in or showing through.&nbsp...
