Great for everyday use!

My hair is always in a ponytail. I mean ALWAYS. I can't handle it when my hair is down as I have very thick, longish hair that has some major flyaways. So if it's down, I'm always tucking it behind my ear because if I don't I'll look like the wild woman from Borneo. Plus, I do not style my hair, not because I'm lazy, but because I'm impatient. I hate to be in front of a mirror with a blow dryer or flat iron and brush for longer than 4 minutes. Because of my impatience for hair styling, I have one quarter of a drawer filled with hair bands and ponytail holders and in every conceiveable color. Some with the metal clips, most not. Specifically Scuncis. They are the best I've ever found that will hold my hair in a ponytail without making it too tight. When my ponytail gets too tight, as it happens to many women, I get huge headaches. So I put my hair in ponytails, braids, loose buns, etc, so that I don't get any headaches. I love these hair bands because they keep my hair in a ponytail all day and all night long. I've been known to have my hair in a ponytail from the minute I get out of a shower in the morning to the next day when I take a shower again. My only fault with these is that because my hair is so thick, I overstretch them and they end up being being too outstretched and useless.

Holding it all together!

I have long, fine, wavy hair that is style damaged and requires ponytail holders that are more gentle than most can be with the exception of Scunci holders. This particular brand of holders is coated with fabric that keeps my hair from coming into contact with the rubber portion of the band which is ultimately what damages my fine hair. Because they are coated, they slip easily out of my hair and leave it on my scalp. Damaged hair from heat styling or coloring makes hair more fragile thus allowing ponytail holders to break off weak hair if it's grabbed. Scunci is great for preventing this little problem. Because I workout 5 days a week, my hair is usually up in the back with one of these holders and when it is down, you don't see areas of breakoff at my crown which was the case several years ago with other holders. I'm glad these are available. If you must wear your hair up in a ponytail, I would recommend these to help prevent damage. Sandy

Scunci No Damage Firm Tight Ponytail Holders are very useful and very comfortable. They're also very affordable with their value packs that come with a great assortment of different colors. I like their firm grip - my hair rarely if ever slips out of these hairties, which is saying a lot. I oftentimes wear them when I go to work in the garden, and they help keep my hair out of the way. Very convenient indeed. It's also very nice that, while they have a tight grip, they aren't so thin and tight to the point where they rip a bunch of hair out painfully when you try to pull them out of your hair. That is very important to me, as I'm sick of having to feel dread whenever I need to take my hairties out of my hair. These ponytail holders are nice and easy to use, and just slip right on and off - the way hairties are supposed to. I recommend these to people who want nice, simple hairties that do their job and make life easier.

Great ponytails with no damage

Damaging your hair is a thing of the past! Also, ponytail holders with metal clasps are too! So, Scunci is on to something! Ponytails CAN be damaging enough depending on how stressed your hair is so why not go the extra step and protect your hair as much as possible! They come in several colors but my personal preference is black. They are sturdy. I have never broke one. It takes a WHILE for them to lose their elasticity which makes them a great buy since they are so affordable. They have enough give to create a loose ponytail to a ponytail wrapped around several times.I like how they are not prone to slipping unless you have extremely thin hair or have an excessive amount of oil or slick product in your hair. You can be assurred that they will stay in place so you can avoid having to re-do a ponytail several times throughout the day. When I undo my ponytail, I rarely see a hair in it which makes me feel I am doing a good job in protecting my hair.

Scunci is a good name that I trust.  I don't like thin ponytail holders, but I don't like them to be big and bulky either.  If they are too thin they break and too bulky is tacky.  Scunci is just the right size and they aren't damaging to my hair so from now on I always look for the name Scunci.  They have great color assortment and they are at a fair price.  And I have very thin hair, but they stay in my hair fine.  My daughter has thick hair and they work for her too.  She wears them for Basketball and other sports and they hold well.  That's the other thing I like about Scunci is because they hold hair in place and don't fall out like other brands do.  So I really got nothing on the negative side to say about Scunci.  I don't remember them being around when I was younger but they may have been.  But as far as this house, we will stick with Scunci and will tell others that they are the best.

soft ponytail holders

I purchased these Scunci no damage ponytail holders not long ago when I was tired of the metal piece on other ponytail holders ripping out my hair as I took down my ponytail.  These ponytail holders are very soft and do a good job of keeping my hair in place.  I have moderately thick hair and need a good ponytail holder to keep all my hair contained.  I like the assortment of colors that these holders come in; I can usually find a coordinating color for whatever I am wearing that day.  The only negative feedback that I have about these ponytail holders is that after wearing the same band several times, it begins to loosen up.  I find that the holder does not hold my hair as tightly as it did when it was brand new and will slowly slip down my ponytail after an hour or two.  I do think these ponytail holders are better than other brands I have used since they have not frayed or broken.  I would recommend these to any serious ponytail wearer!

good product

The **Scunci No Damage Firm Tight Ponytail Holders** is definitely an improvement over the regular Scunci ponytail elastics, which have small metal clasps that are used to hold the bands together. Basically, your hair gets caught in these metal clasps and accidentallly get ripped out when you remove them from a ponytail for example. While I like teh "no-damage" variety much better than the original kind, I think they are not as easy and "pain-free" to use as the Goody Ouchless variety of elastics. The Scunci No Damage Firm ponytail holders don't have the metal band, but they do have this dried-up, hard little ball of glue that is used in lieu of the metal band. I still find it kind of unpleasant even it it's an improvement over the original variety of hair ties. The Scunci line is kind of expensive, so, again, I would recommend the Goody variety if you can find it. Overall, though, the no damage variety beats the regular elastics.

Our Steering Wheel Loves These

My husband has this annoying habit- he grabs whatever he can find to put his hair up when painting for work.  This means, any kind of crappy rubberband or twisty thing- as long as it is not *girly* he will put his hair up with it. The problem is that it gets jammed up in his hair and then he yanks it out.  I, on the other hand, can not afford to have my hair torn out, or I won't have any left.  So, I bought some **Scunsi No Damage Firm Pony Tail Holders** and begged him to use them. Every day, he would continue to use the high damage rubber bands or whatever, so I decided it was a useless battle and decided to use them myself and for my daughter. I like to put my ponytail holder in the same place every day so I can go back and get it when I need it to use again.  They don't usually stretch out quickly, and I like the fact that they come in many different colors and do not catch on hair to pull it out. Every day I would put my pony tail holder on the spindle on a jewelry holder next to my bed.  I would go to put it in my hair and it would be gone.  Well, this was not a problem until this began happening every day. Eventually almost the entire package seemed to have gotten lost and of course, no one in the house knew what happened to them. I got really frustrated, until one day I had to take my husband's car somewhere, and there on the turn signal shaft near the steering wheel was a huge row of multicolored **Scunsi No Damage Firm Pony Tail holders** lined up the entire shaft!!! I knew who the **Scunsi No Damage Pony Tail Holder Thief **was! He is still using them, but I have since switched to a variety of pony tail holders he doesn't like so now I don't have to worry about him taking them anymore!
