Most HelpfulI have been looking in several different places for these butterfly combs and saw the advertisement on TV for this EZ Combs special. The commercial said only $10 for the whole set plus $6.99 for processing and handling. I thought that sounded like a great deal and it was going to cost me a whole lot...
review »well first off... i didnt buy my ez combs from the TV ad... like all things i see on TV ads... i go to walgreens and find it in their "as seen on TV" section. they had packs of 2 for $9.99! i got one pack with the black and sandlewood. the other pack had caramel bronze and dazzling silver that i went and got a week later.
they work better than what i thought they would. i use them everyday and its just a snap to change the styles. i would have to say they are worth what i paid for them and i hope they will put out more sets for walgreens and other places that have a "as seen on TV" section!
I like these combs, they are a little better than the claw ones. You can do more with them and the guide that comes with it is helpful. I tried a couple of the styles, some are easier to do than the others. But I could never do a fancy hairstyle without some help, maybe I am not coordinated enough.
The colors are basic so they will go with anything.
You think they are going to break but they are tough. They stretch pretty far too.
I am going to buy some for my girlfriends and nieces, they will love em too.
EZ COMBS do not buy them!
I have fine thin hair and combs do not stay in my hair without pins so I wanted to try this. The EZ Comb package I bought came with 2 combs, silver and camel. The silver one broke before I got the second comb in my hair. I was wary to try the tan one, but I put it in my hair and the elastic was so tight that I had to overlap the combs, there is NO way you can stretch the elastic, it will break. And I have thin hair!! Any woman with thick hair could not use this product. The combs look pretty but are cheaply made and not worth the $10-12, save your money!...
review »I've seen the EZ combs on tv a few times, but didn't want to buy another product that would end up unused in a drawer somewhere. My husband saw them and thought they were nice, and offered to buy them, but I declined. Then, we saw them in a store, and figured at least I could return them if I didnt like em, so thought I'd give it a go.
I am a classic ponytail girl. I only really "do" my hair if I am going out. Otherwise, for work and play it's a pony. The bands are damaging to my hair, so I thought this would be a nice change. It was very easy to use the first time after I read the...
review »I was skeptical about the EZ Combs as someone who loves to buy as seen on TV items only to get them home & not work as the infomercials said they would. But EZ Combs actually work. It does take some getting used to & alot of stretching but once you get the hang of it they do work. It usually comes with 2 EZ combs & there are 2 sets to choose from. I have the Bermuda Black & Sahara Sandalwood colors. I am currently sporting the sahara sandalwood butterfly twist pony tail. I have thick, waist length, naturally curly/wavy hair. It has enough staying power to stay in even during my hour long bicycle...
review »I got the EZ Combs because my hair is long for the first time in years and I thought this sounded like an easy way to wear my hair to work.
My hair is thin and baby-fine. These clips won't begin to hold it the day I shampoo even a few minutes, though my hair is past my shoulders. The day after a shampoo, they will keep my hair in for about 1/2 hour - not a lot of help when you are busy for a 12 hr shift!
Each one has also broken after two or three uses, both the ones I orded on line and the ones by the same name from Walgreens.
I wouldn't recommend these to anyone!
I received the EZ combs, and purchased two sets, plus the designer set. My bill was $95.00....I do not recall seeing this on the shipping receipt, but it showed up on my credit card. By then the company refused to refund because it was after the 30 days! What a rip off! No one in their right mind would pay that amount of money for those hair combs! I will never order through this company again!
The EZ Comb looked great! Too expensive for me. BUT... lo and behold... $9.99 at CVS for 2. Looked easy on T.V. but not so in my hands. Used it on a trip overseas 1 time and it was 'ok'. Then used it 2 more times and the 'strings' broke. Beads all over my floor. Heaven forbid I stretched it the way I was instructed to! It would not have lasted the 3 wearings that it did. GARBAGE... will not buy any others...EVER!!
EZCombs: I got two in a package. The silver one with the plastic beads worked great and the elastic was strong and tight, then I tried the tan wooden one in the same package and it was flimsey, the elastic was loose, it wouldn't hold and kept falling out of my hair. It's such a shame they had to wreck such a good product! Next time I will just stick with plastic beaded EZ combs.
The first time I saw EZ Comb in the Television, I can't wait to have it, and luckily I found it in the Dollar Store for $10, then I ask my husband to buy it for me, I am very excited, in-fact I save it to use for the Church Service, but when I tried it, I can't figure out how to put it in a right way.
